Upstairs hated Kawhi at first, though, since they didn't want to admit he was better than Porker. Post-6, he got the second-most hate behind Manu. That picture of Kawhi at the free throw line was spammed on an hourly basis for the entire offseason. Most of them didn't think Kawhi deserved a max contract, either.
It wasn't until he started getting mentioned in MVP discussions that they all started pretending they liked him all along.
