the lack of timely hitting by a team in the postseason except by the braves.
way to go houston
have you paid Jim?
He was showing what job he has taken to pay off the debt.
If you watched the 'stros during the regular season their lack of offense shouldn't be suprising.
Once nut-cutting time came last night, it was apparent to me that there was about 1 Astro who wasn't completely intimidated by the situation, particularly when runners were on base.
The 9th inning was telling. With Burke on 3rd base, Berkman was all about the situation and wanted nothing more than a chance to hit (and the White Sox, wisely, walked him). Ensberg followed and his eyes had a look of absolute fear and nervousness about having to bat with the bases loaded and 2 out in the bottom of the 9th of a must-win World Series game. Ensberg has been struggling, but he didn't even have a good swing at a pitch from the beginning of that 9th inning at bat on. He wasn't alone in appearing to be completely intimidated by the situation.
We shall see if the Stros have what it takes to avoid the sweep. I personally doubt it! What have they got to lose besides the series itself!
Or Jim's choice of implement to beat the out of him!He was showing what job he has taken to pay off the debt.![]()
Who the takes called strike 3s when you're in the extra innings of a must win World Series game? At least go down swinging.
