Tribal mentality is working.
Trump is admired and envied for his remorseless grifting. It's one of his main selling points, tbh.
“This is the most important video you’ll see in 2019,” says Silver. “Tribal mentality is not working and Americans are still suffering. We need to put aside our differences, stop pitting the right against the left, and put country over party to fix the system.”

90% of Repugs approve Trash
This is something I have thought about. I don’t think a good chunk of those votes want this.
I do think there was/is pleasure in watching the blue team squirm.
I have nothing to back this up. I think your basic Trumper believes the blue team consists of vast waves of Boots/Spurshomer type mentality.
It’s possible this was their swamp.
Giving stuff away for free.
My definition of a swamp does not align with the above because they are standing in it.
Maybe there is some pride in people way outside of government using government for their own personal gain.
And we sit back chuckling that we all are being taken.
It’s very odd.
Eh, it's a pie in the sky. I feel like we are too far gone.
People don't give a ...they enjoy being divided.
This is the most ignorant post I've read in quite some time. I feel dumber having read it.

Interesting perspective, from Robert Reich.
Dunno. Histories of countries have lots of examples of polarized populations. It comes and it goes.
I think though, we are segregating ourselves and hunkering down, in ways that are new.
I get the sense we are on a path towards dissolution, and many conservatives and white nationalists are certainly pushing that wagon.
I wish I had more cause for optimism.
I would tend to agree. What is ironic is that the market-based Obamacare was originally a Republican idea. A Democrat co-opted it, and they all over it in a heartbeat, simply to score cheap political points.
Further irony is that rejection of a free market solution makes single payor and other government solutions (mixes like Germany, etc) a LOT more viable.
Are both sides equally bad? That is very rarely the case.
"Both sides" in the flat earth debate don't have equally valid arguments.
If you cannot even point out ONE INACCURATE thing in that post -
you attack it instead.
Got it.
Lotta truth bombs in here.
You really want to get any Trump to stammering ask a simple question:
What is the Trump party, free-market solution to getting health insurance to everybody?
So much Trump party "policy" simply boils down to being a judgmental . The problem with simply assigning all poverty to moral faults, is that it ignores the real causes of poverty. Poverty itself. It is a self-feeding cycle. One is poor because of bad decisions, and one makes bad decisions because one is poor. Scarcity has a proven effect of reducing good long term decision making.
Poverty isn’t a lack of character. It’s a lack of cash

Agree that poverty isn't' lack of character but you seem to say that someone who is poor is making bad decisions because they are poor.
Some of your wall of conservative thought is decent.
But these are funny.
You are making up your own history. First bolded.
So the red team merely wants to be cruel and see people suffer? Why....?
Now to see liberals squirm after 8 years of a black moderate, I find this legit.
But it's really all about seeing a group of people actually suffer... needs an explanation. If you said a biproduct of bad policy and scare tactics only to get elected I could take that in. But to intentionally harm as you have inferred...
Sorry if I insulted one of your alts.
You still can wish a painful death on my ass.
yup
taking the money out of politics -
been saying that forever - but unfortunately -
won't ever happen
Nope.
They were first organized behind andidea that both parties did actually agree on. Too much govt. interference due to outside influence from lobbies, Pacs. It was indeed co-opted under the red team banner. The original individuals that drove the idea are long gone.
Your last paragraph indicates a keen sense of psychology. You know these people well.
Had everything to do with getting fed up with money coming in to politics.
So yes, yes it did.
No the birther conspiracy was absolutely NOT central.
Will I be the first to die during the revolution?
Since of course I have clearly stated many times that blatant lying is just fine and all.
You are proof of the rise of populism from both ends of the political spectrum with your creating devils.
Yes I am the insider you fear most here because my purpose is to fool everyone. Damn this sounds familiar from Orange types. I am the greatest of all enemies as I slink about undected by all but the most paranoid.

I've been saying this from the start! pgardn is an undercover operative! It took beetus to create a phenomenon like condition in Boner's head to open his eyes to the fact that the universe, time itself, is a flat circle.
You really need to brush up on your talking. Your attempts always seem forced and pedestrian.
Above what?
This is not a game.
There were other political parties inside Germany during its Nazi turn that were also using scare tactics and looking for scapegoats.
(Since its fashionable to single out people within a country that is turning bad as THE problem.) You act like I have already picked the wrong side after a historical lookback. I let it happen... I absolutely do NOT understand the lying behavior that red team puts up with to stay loyal, to work as a team.
So the obvious solution is to play as dirty or dirtier in order to win. Im not into counter revolutions that are more vile than what they replace.
And this is selfish behavior. I like the rules around me to work and show a sense of fairness so I might thrive. I dont want to pick a side and have to prove my loyality by performing some loathsome act.
Did you read the article and do you understand the inefficiency of countering by destroying?
This is the scariest thought.
Because the pushback can be worse, or maybe not.
We dont know. In any event, looking for common goals is a start in the correct direction.
Infrastructure perhaps.
I just dont know if any goal can be achieved if orange guy takes credit.
At this point I dont care who takes credit, I just want it to get done.
Then I want orange guy to step away in 2020. Without destructive retribution from those who feel victimized.
