Tragic and the Laker organization need hugs. So sad. Being upset because you struck out on trying to steal two superstar players, and now the locker room is a toxic wasteland.

Jeanie Buss is doing more harm than good by trying to do damage control proclaiming "fake news." It just makes the Lakers look more disingenuous.

Lakers executives are doing a great job damaging their own reputations. They need to look in the mirror, as that is one piss-poor organization trying to live on past glory and in being located in the most attractive market in the league. Gotta say it was amazing seeing Russell go from complete bust to allstar once he went to a better organization. Makes me wonder if the Lakers are holding back Ball and Ingram the same way.

The Lakers have gone from "you... surrender your franchise player" to "it's not fair, the rest of the league is being mean to us by not giving us their franchise players!"

I think Ingram and Kuzma have the physical tools to be good in Today's NBA. They have the size of 3s/4s, speed and length to drive and board/defend. They really need a good environment with a healthy locker room and shooting coaches to polish out their weaknesses but have good potential for another team to develop.

That's just bonkers .. We weren't gonna sell our whole team for one player!!! As if you could even do that for one player.

Ingram doesn't have the speed and Kuzma doesn't have the speed or size to defend their position. They are also beginners at the concepts also. Ingram has the length and that's great, but that's as far as it goes.

But so what?! them's the brakes. no excuses.

However, when new CBA comes up with revenue sharing if I am NY/LA?
I pay the small market teams back for this type of ish

but for now sounds like ing, moaning and excuse making ...

on what grounds? It's hard to argue the rest of the teams would get more money if the lakers got nuked.

Im just speaking that when teh topic of revenue sharing comes up if i am contributing the most which Knicks, Lakers and a handful of teams surely are ...
I would not be supportive of the rules in place, which are designed to offset the advantages (bigger market more ad revenue) that helps those team contribute more.

again Lakers/knicks have to do better or it's all moot ...

it's a very common point of vew, but it doesn't stand to reason imo. The rest of the owners can only profit from the lakers getting nuked, while the league may in theory lose but they would get to offset the losses with the added compe iveness of the league. For example, Lakers pulling a #lakerBegging this year, have triggered at least 6-7 teams to tank. Ironicly enough, the tanking clippers are still enough to beat them

What the more they need to do it? They just missed the playoffs for a 6th straight season the last of which with Lebron in' James on the roster. Not even the biggest troll on ST would dare predict it this would happen back in 2010 ..

I predicted them staying out of the playoffs for ten straight years.. granted, i didn't expect lebron of all people to take the fall to save the lakers..

in the end its better for us.
Hurts the brand and it may even impact FA ...
But Lebron looks more done than I thought.
Lakers really need to think twice before blowing up the whole franchise for one shot at a le during the Bron years.
Very food chance we dont win ish druing Lebron's tenure.

Good news is with a "accidental tank" lakers coudl fall to 7 with a decent shot at moving up to top 4.

Bron putting up numbers but damn his defense is and nobody wants to cover up for him any more after hearing they were getting shipped off to New Orleans. I'm still laughing at Kuzma shoving him out there to guard Gallinari's shot.

They need to go out there and hire some ing assistant coaches to work on player development. The Lakers remind me of Steve Lavin's UCLA teams that had tons of raw talent but the players never got any better.

First, what standing? They haven't been in the playoffs in five years going on six. They have traded away multiple good prospects and have little value to show for their multiple trips to the lottery. Their savior #1 pick comes with more baggage than Louis Vuitton.

Rival executives didn't make Magic put together one of the most boneheaded rosters imaginable.

Maybe they should quit with the collusion bull if they want other teams to respect them.

Nakedly and openly tampering with players on other teams -- one Kawhi Leonard, for example -- and because the league failed to do much about it, other teams are sticking it to them? Get ed.
