But if I was responsible for "Dunk Comp" (whatever the that is), I would have a rule that the guy has to at least get to the rim.

He jumped a little too early, and wasn't even going to make it to the rim. He tried to roll it over and make a layup, but was way off. of a leap, though.

If he had just jumped too early and missed, there would have been no foul called. The guy under the basket impeded his flight with his hand, causing him to come up short. if he hadn't, it would have been a Sport Center highlight.

Maybe, I don't know. I watched it a few times. It looked like he was rolling his hand under before the contact because he knew he was coming up short. I'm not going to argue it. It was a of a leap, and I like the fact that he was pressing the action a lot. He's not the first guy to miss a dunk, either way.
