Maybe Pop will sober up in the elimination game and finally make this adjustment.

Doubtful. Patty's got all that korporate knowledge.

And to think he's the third highest paid Spur, and we're stuck with his no defense, chucker ass for two more years.

Starters all -20 or below in +/-. Spurstalk trolls: "Patty's the issue".

Patty hasn't played as well as he has in the regular season but let's not pretend he's the issue here

Patty is absolutely the issue because he is always a focal point for the other team to attack.

Dude. There’s a bunch of problems and flaws with this team. It’s not just one thing. Patty’s minutes is the easiest thing to notice and fix. All leads shrink or deficits increase when he hits the floor. Walker is the best healthy backup point option we have right now. He can create his own shot better than Mills and isn’t a traffic cone on defense.

Pop isn’t going to fix this cluster of a situation he built overnight. But inserting Walker over Mills is a ing start

Yup. Either his man will score or he’ll get beat off the dribble then a kick out 3 pointer with Aldridge/etc too slow to recover from helping out.

Patty is the weakest link. All you have to do is attack him and systematic breakdowns occur for easy points

because Mills is going to erase a 20 point deficit from the starters. Pop isn't going to put in a rookie who's had 0 impact in the regular season over proven veterans. Let's be real here.

Have you been watching most games? Mills is the main culprit for why they are even down 20 in the first place. He doesn’t magically come in with the team down by 20. They go down by 20 with him playing

Patty sucked the first 3 games, but he was ok game 4 and pretty solid tonight. This is a weird time to say this. But overall, yes, Mills and Beli will lose minutes to Lonnie and Murray and White and Forbes next season.

I remember tonight being down by 13 in the 3rd quarter. White goes out in foul trouble, Mills replaces him. 2 minutes later Spurs are down by 20 because in that time Murray abused him or someone hit a 3 with our defender leaving his man to help Mills

Yeah, I've been watching. That's not how it works. Patty has the second highest +/- on the team which at its most basic level means the Spurs do well with him on the floor. He's one of the most effective backup pgs in the league.

Whatever your reason, you want Lonnie to play so you're trashing Mills as his compe or for the backup pg spot. Sure, long term Walker will eventually replace Mills in the lineup. For now let's hope Mills steps it up this series though. I agree he can do better.
