For real though, this has been a real fun team to root for. People say "there's no likable players here", That's dumb, they are all likable. under no cir stances are the spurs going to tank or find a HOF level player. Enjoy the team we have and adjust your expectations.
Based on expectations this team had indivudally overachived:
White went from G-league to starter
Bryn went from from bench shooter to starting SG (i know, faint praise)
poeltl nailed down playing with LMA
Murray reunited with his GF
Bellenini - streaky and leaky as usual
Mills- not as bad as the forum thinks, but he's a finished project
LMA - he is who he is, no drama this year
Dero - mixed bag but no worse then his reputation
Gay - found his best role, but his body isn't letting him do it all
The only real under performers this year are bertans (didn't outplay poeltl, not enough consistency)
Gasol, not our problem anymore
No one should care about Cunn and pondi, rookies and g-leaguers
If we win tonight,it'll be luck. It might be nice for confidence. Doesn't mean anything though. The next evolution is being able to play both mid range iso and 3pt barrage mode and become more resilient on defense. I don't see major updates next year, but barring injuries the team will have more talent
