Ok so I was really just trying to grab your attention. We know why Durant is rarely doubled. Steph and Klay.

The better question is, why is this lame getting this much credit. Kawhi has outplayed this fake goon by a mile but lets even look back to both Houston and the Clipper series and compare how he's guarded vs Harden and Lite Hardej is guarded.

Against the Clippers this got was mainly covered by patrick beverly out of all people. Sometimes by Gallinari..in one on one coverage. A 6'0 guard and a soft Mario.

Meanwhile Lou, was doubled in virtiually every PnR. He just had to dribble his way out of it.

Against Houston, he's defended by Tucker. Good defender and James Harden out of all people. Again single one on one coverages. Wide open driving lanes..no double pressure.

Lets compare that to Mr. Harden who is doubled and during a drive Golden state would send two players to instantly form a mini wall.

Lets not even get started Giannis..Celtics entire gameplan on games 1-2 is to defend him 3 on 1 in his drives

Kawhi is guarded by 3 people on drives and is getting defender by a plethora of 6'8 guys.

Someone needs to injure this cupcake ASAP. Its maddening the comparison hes getting with Lebron.

melting down because Kawhi is having an incredible playoff run and still being overshadowed by KD.

You're not wrong about KD's advantages, but let's not pretend like Kawhi isn't allowed to play one on one either. Toronto has great spacing and lethal shooting. Plus, Kawhi's defenders are either too small (Butler), too dumb (Simmons), or too slow (Harris).

It's interesting when I watched ESPN today they were all talking more so about the Sixers choking than #2's great series.

Most people in media right now has Kawhi as the MVP. Thats not even a question.

The maddening part is how somehow steph is a trash a player when in reality the quality of shots he's had to take are so much more inferior.

Steph is not getting system three point shots anymore. Its almost exclusively three point shot attempts generated for role players or tough contested shots.

Kawhi is in the North. Plain and simple. If / when he is in LA, he will get the same attention opportunities to it up as KD. In the end, he probably won't be as popular for a number of reasons: 1. he's quiet AF/autistic (?), 2. he's not a me me me fake guy like KD, going to prisons to take pictures with thugs etc. 3. lol new balance

Agreed (when healthy) he's the superior player.

ESPN owned by Disney who now owns Fox including Fox Sports.
No small coincidence the promoting of the Golden gots has been gagging the last 4 years and only continues.

One (of many) of the obvious was when Lebron took the charge in Game 1 Finals last year. Sealed a close win in a Timmy Duncan type performance by LeBron. Truly was great game and i am neither a Lebron slurper nor Hater. Tweet! Meeting. Call reversed and Durbetta given foul shots. Some will say Golden would have won the series 4-1 anyway. I strongly disagree. When Durant gets rattled (along witht he rest of Golden Showers) they can and do melt down. Have had virtually zero adversity to overcome their entire run. Just the opposite in fact. Every conceivable advantage.

Back to your question. It's because of got Disney and the $$$ involved.

To get respect from the media. You have to be willing to promote yourself 24/7 and obviously also be great. Guys like Lebron,Durant,Curry, they promote themselves all the time whether its doing interviews, social media. #2 even in big market will never be able to promote himself simply because he doesn't have the social skills to do it and doesn't have the desire.

In the regular season, sure. In the playoffs, these scrubs that Kawhi's been carrying are so shook, they're afraid to take wide-open shots.

Totally true. Reminds me of when back in the day (mid-'00s), LeBron refused to have any social media, including Twitter, etc. And now he's all about his brand.

Think opposition teams are better with KD going off & scoring 40+ if I remember the metrics correctly.
