Given that guys can get away with being volume 3 shooters at 28-33 3FG in today's NBA. Even without that though, tbh.

Robinson would probably develop a pretty respectable 3 pointer if he were coming up today.

I've been thinking of the comparison all season
Robinson would be a bigger faster more skilled version of the Greek freak. Better free throw shooter. Better midrange shooter and definitely better defense. In this era of small forwards Dave would be faster than all of them. If he was brought up in this era he'd probably be a competent three point shooter and average a near triple double.

Robinson with that ugly ass double clutch jumper would have his packed by even Scrub Ass Draymond Green. But if its 1994 DRob he would run the floor just like Giannis

Robinson would do well in the RS but he'd fold like a wet paper towel in the playoffs.

Well, he's not Greek, and he's not a freak. Other than that, maybe.

Giannis is more like Lebron. A big man who has coordination of a little man.

Robinson had a pretty good jumper if he played today I'm Sure he would have expand it out to the 3 point line. Could you imagine guarding him on the 3 point and then have to stop him from taking it to the basket. He would probably avg. 20 ft a game.

Giannis is slightly different than David. David is just as super athletic as Giannis but not as strong. Giannis has the strength to back down guys in the post while Robinson was never that type of player. David was more of a super athletic SG trapped in a centers body and his game was not based on bulldozing into guys in the paint like Giannis. David is more like a stronger AD than he is like Giannis.

so may be lefty Durant is a better comparison? But David was such a force on defense in the paint against everyone not named Hakeem

I'd say he is a bigger stronger Durant.

David was left on an island in that series. Bob Hill couldn't give two s about defense refusing to give David any help and Rodman was in LA LA land. It was that series and the '96 series that Pop got tired of watching Hill's lack of attention to defense.

Robinson wasn't a ball handler and creator. He was an athlete more than a skilled basketball player. He would be better on defense and definitely a great open court player. But they two would play differently and not really be comparable.
