Patty mils![]()
Carsen Edwards
School: Purdue
Position: PG/SG
Age: 21
Height: 6-foot-0.25
Weight: 199.4
Wingspan: 6-foot-6
Draft Range: 20 to 40
Combine Results? Yes
Why: Three-point bomber: shot 18 threes per 100 possessions. Can create his own threes off the dribble. An expert at using screens to get open; moves very well without the ball. Good ball-handler. Short (5-foot-10.75 without shoes) but his wingspan allows him to play a little bit bigger. Puts up points in bunches and has a history of hitting clutch shots.
Why Not: Not a real point guard -- poor passer, limited court vision, limited awareness. Unlikely he'll be able to finish among the trees in the NBA due to lack of size or athleticism. Three-point percentage at Purdue not overly impressive (36.8%). Doubtful that he'll ever be anything other than a liability on defense.
Spurs Fit: A year in Austin to work on his point guard skills would be helpful. The eventual Patty Mills replacement would be his obvious role going forward.
Spurs Comparison - Ceiling: Patty Mills
Spurs Comparison - Floor: Cory Alexander

If he as tall as patty
ing no
Hes shorter
If Patty Mills actually knocked down big shots I feel like ya'll wouldn't be that against him. He's undersized and a liability on defense but I don't think he's a bad player.
Floor should be Jack McClintock tbh.
You talking about Patty or Carsen?
True. Good call.
No. Saw him play 4 years and I live just 23 miles from Purdue campus.
He was complete in these playoffs
I don't see the Patty comparison, he's much more athletic and natural driver than Patty, but not a pure shooter like Patty... His style is more Kemba/Kyle Lowry...

Another undersized overlooked shooter is Kyle Guy of Virginia.
Both of these guys look out of place and their measurables disappoint, but they keep hitting big shots, whether it's in the NCAA tournament or just the combine games.
One or both of them will probably make it at some level in the NBA. If they slip to #49, each might be worth a look.
He reminds me of a poor man’s Patty Mills tbh.
No thank you. I don’t think we need another undersized non-point-guard point guard.
