Admiral Schofield
School: Tennessee
Position: SF
Age: 22
Height: 6-foot-5.25
Weight: 240.6
Wingspan: 6-fot-9.75
Draft Range: 30 to 50
Combine Results? Yes
Why: Built like a boulder: wide, muscular frame that is difficult to move. Despite his bulk, he's an explosive leaper -- even without any momentum. Quick enough to defend on the perimeter and strong enough to defend the post. Good three-point shooter: hit 41.8% on 8.7 attempts per 100 possessions. Willing passer, already has a role player mentality and isn't squeamish about doing the dirty work. Admirals have a good track record in San Antonio.
Why Not: Very poor ball-handler for a perimeter player -- makes it difficult for him to drive to the basket. Thus, hardly goes to the free throw line despite his size and strength. His shoeless size (6-foot-4) is that of a guard but he projects as a SF and small ball PF. While he's quick for his size, he's likely too bulky to ever be able to defend guards or super quick forwards. Not a notable rebounder. His advanced stats are yawn-inducing ... only his three-point shooting stands out as above average.
Spurs Fit: He's advanced enough to play minutes as a rookie. However, a year in Austin to work on his perimeter skills would help.
Spurs Comparison - Ceiling: Shorter Malik Rose with a three-point jumper
Spurs Comparison - Floor: Shorter Jamie Feick

Can’t be bad if he’s an admiral lol on serious note I really wouldn’t mind him or grant Williams at 29
Sounds like a late 00s ron artest

He won't be in the league past his rookie contract tbh Semi Ojeleye but tier
Would love to see him be the 2nd round pick. Always thought he’d have a chance to be a decent 3 & D guy.
Admiral will be on NBA rosters for a long time. He has translatable shooting and can defend 2-small ball 4 or real small 5. He works his ass off more than just about anyone and is very coachable and adaptable. He’s a dog too and has the clutch gene big time (see his second half against Gonzaga). He’d be a great fit for the Spurs and would fill a need. The Tennessee fan base has loved him throughout his 4 years but he’s always given me head aches with his poor shot selection and seemingly low iq.
All that said, I’m not sure I’d love the pick at 29, and he won’t be there at 49.
Yeah 29 is to high for him if he falls to 49 I would not mind him. He is a perfect Spur a hard worker he plays tough and fights the whole game no quit in him big heart.
Only room for one Admiral in San Antonio and he's a made man for life, tbh.
I like him. Spurs need some tough energy players
Both guys would be decent flyers imo but if the thunder aren’t interested maybe they’re not that good lol
Was never really high on admiral but I did think TJ leaf might have a chance to be a good backup. He’s been disappointing
Spurs have had luck with Admirals in the past but I will take a pass.
I thought this was a TANK Commander.- SPAM post![]()
I know lets sign Grayson Boucher
Don't we have a roster spot open? Or is Tyler Zeller under contract?
Prophetic.
