Why: Says he plays with a football mentality and he's not lying. Bulldog defender who's stout individual- and team-wise. Gigantic hands (half an inch smaller than Kawhi) help him on both ends. Quality first step, explosive leaping ability and toughness give him a high ceiling as a finisher. Flashed playmaking skills as a senior. Shooting also improved as a senior: 50% on twos, 37.1% on threes (9.9 attempts per 100 possessions) and 77.2% at the line.
Why Not: Still raw after four years at Ole Miss. Decision-making and shot-selection are issues. Didn't shoot well before senior season and his form is messy so it's no sure thing he can hit shots in the NBA. His skills are more that of a small forward but he's built more like a point guard. While he's a quick jumper, he doesn't get very high at all.
Spurs Fit: Needs time in Austin -- possibly up to two seasons due to his rawness. As the roster stands, difficult to imagine how he'd carve out a role somewhere between White, Murray and Walker.
