As you can see there are 19805 minutes available during the reg season for all players combined.
Let's say 805 of them go to non-top10 players. Which means there are 19,000 minutes to share among the following 10 players,as follows;
LA and DD take a step back and each play 2,400min; that's 4,800 min
DJ and Derrick White each get 2,100min; that's 9,000min
Rudy, Jakob about 1800min; that's a total of 12,600 minutes
DeMarre and Bryn about 1500min; so we are up to 15,600 minutes.
So there are 3,400 minutes left for Belli and Lonnie, I say each plays 1,700 minutes.
So am glad Davis is gone, because we really don't have any minutes for him. And it makes sense if we were to trade a player or two to free up some minutes.
What do you guys think the minutes should look like next season?
Who the does total minutes? You weirdo .
What a roast, lol.
Your minutes for Marco and Lonnie are way too high. Other than that I really want to play our two rookies a lot this year. Would alleviate the whole lack of forwards situation.
Murray-28 mpg, Mills- 20 mpg
Forbes- 20-22 mpg, White, 26-28 mpg
DDR- 32 mpg, Walker 16 mpg
Carroll-22 mpg, Gay 26 mpg
LMA-30 mpg, Poeltl 18 mpg
that should be pretty accurate
Unless you want to lose, POELTL 30 MPG
Mills also does not get 20 min a game. Why do people always try and do a 10 man rotation? most teams will have an 8 to 9 man rotation. If white is the backup he will play the one and 2 soaking up most of those min. Carroll plays 3 and 4 and I think Gay starts. DDR plays 2 and 3 to help space some and Potel will play more then 18. I would think.
I would think something like
Murray 28 White 20
Forbes24 White 12 DDR 12
DDR 22 Carroll 16 Walker/Belli/ mills (at sg/ PG) 10 min
Gay 28 Aldridge 12 Carroll 8
Aldridge 22 Potel 26
Forbes - 48
Mills - 48
Beli - 48
Metu - 48
Eubanks - 48
DDR, LMA @ 35-39 min
Forbes @ 32-35 min
DJM, White, Gay @ 28-32 min
Mills, Poeltl, Carroll @ 25-28 min
LW4 @ 16-19 min
Beli, Lyles @ 8-10 min
KJ, Luka, Metu @ 0-6 min
Pretty clear that Poeltl is going to be the backup 5.
Most teams don't have 10 good players, tbh. Spurs playing 10 is fine. Also I get that Mills isn't well liked but with Bertans gone and Beli on the outs of the rotations, Mills is going to need to play-he shot almost 40% from 3 on 5 3's a game, he also had the best on/ off numbers on the team last season.
How in the world do you figure Forbes gets more min than white?
Nvm sorry. I see his min at the 2
Unless Pop goes big ball, with Aldridge at the 4... Which he does like...
With the attempted addition of Morris and the actual addition of Carroll, it seems clear that Carroll and Gay will be the 4's and Aldridge and Poeltl will be the 5's. Pop may play big in stretches but it seems that that isn't the way that the rotation is going to shake out.
And it had success, especially in the PO. With Poeltl on the Court the Defense was much more solid. It was no coincidence that nearly every run Denver made was when Poeltl was on the Bench or the Mill-Belli Combo was on the court.
I dont really consider mills to be a good player and he is at the most crowded part of the roster. I think we will be fine on 3s but I did include 10 min for him beli and walker to split. I also think there is probably another 15-20 MPG avg that does not count when people try and split it between 48 due to OT and players being injured/rested. I could see Murray starting out less and his min growing as the season progressing and them getting more comfortable with his injury.
PG - Murray (28), White (14), Forbes(3), Mills (3)
SG - White (14) Forbes (15), Mills (10), Lonnie (6), Beli (3)
SF - DDR (30), Carroll (13), Lonnie (3), Beli (2)
PF - Aldridge (12), Gay (22), Carroll (10), Lyles (4)
C - Poetl (25), Aldridge (18), Lyles (5)
I'd like to see Lonnie eat all of Beli's minutes, but I don't believe it...
Common Expected Guard Pairings (PG,SG) : 1. Murray, White 2. Murray, Forbes 3. White, Forbes 4. Murray, Mills 5 White, Mills
Common Big Pairings (C,PF): 1. Poetl, Aldridge, 2. Aldridge, Gay 3. Aldridge, Caroll 4. Poetl Gay 5. Poetl, Carroll
G League
Assigned - Samanic, Keldon, Metu
2 Way - Eubanks, Weatherspoon
5 less for Mills 5 more for Forbes, rest looks good.
He avg more then 26 last year and is healthier this year. going up a little over a min is not much.
If things go well Walker’s minutes will increase as the season goes along based on play.
If things go well Walker’s minutes will increase as the season goes along based on play.
Yeah, why would we want to go with the lineup that nearly powered us to a series victory over a superior foe with Poeltl at the 5 and LMA at the 4? Who cares about defense? Let’s play dumb small ball like all the other copycat moronic teams in this league tbh!!!
