It's definitely an epidemic here, but I don't like this "meme" because it considers a "mass shooting" any event in which there were 5 or more people injured. This makes it seem like there was 249 Columbine style shootings when most of them were of the gang shooting variety. No way in has Brazil only had 1 of those types of shootings.

Again, I agree we lead the world in "disgruntled piece-of- shooting up a soft-target in cold blood" type of shootings, but this meme doesn't clearly present the facts. Gang shootings are also terrible and result in innocent deaths, but they obviously don't have the same kind of social impact as Columbine style shootings.
