It didn't look bad on the replay. Kinda look like he slipped-I definitely didn't think the injury would end his season.

I thought I could see something like move on his knee RIGHT BEFORE he hit the floor.

    Probobly nothing.

But as soon as he grabbed for his knee IMMEDIATELY after falling and not putting weight on it?? It was serious.

Shame, that really puts a big hurt to the Nuggets.

Najera takes over as the primary big off the bench. Too bad someone TOOK HIM ALREADY in fantasy basketball.

That sucks, all injuries are bad, but Nene is great person, I think he'll be able to overcome the injury and return in good shape.

Not to gloat, because frankly, I don't care who wins the NW. However, it shows why those "cute" picks like Denver and Indiana never work out. Any little thing goes wrong (and this isn't small), and you're pretty much out of it.

By "cute," I mean a prediction based on what a group of players could or ought to do, rather than what they have done. You can almost see someone like Dan LeRe thinking "I'll look like a genius if they win! Hahahaha!"

History shows that a team can only rarely go from Nowheresville to a Championship. Could Denver finish second in the West (before this injury)? Maybe. Would it matter? Sure...to Denver, for the future.

I wonder how much of this will impact his impending free agency after the season.

I think he will still get a decent offer from someone, provided they do all the tests required to make sure that leg is ok next year.

I feel bad for him in a lot of ways, because some injuries are more psychological than anything. Mostly, we talk about the player's psyche, but how many times have you seen a team give up on someone just because of an injury?

He's still young, which really helps. That wall you hit at @30 isn't very forgiving.

EDIT: Based on what I have seen since Karl took over the team, if you dump Martin, Denver is fairly likeable. They play hard, and they seem to have a clue.

I bet the Nuggets are pissed, seeing as they've been trying to trade him.

Sucks for Nene. I hope he has a speedy, full recovery.

That does suck to go out the first game. I almost took him in the fantasy draft. Guess I'll just have to make do with Manu the Gimp.

That sucks for Nene, big time.

He is on the last year of his contract. i guess he regrets, that he hasn't sign an extraction with Denver.

Nene took out an insurance policy in case he had a career ender, so he had all bases covered.

All this is just a ploy by Kroenke to drive down Nene's market value.
