I vote yes. But only if it means eliminating Forbes minutes altogether. It would still be a horrible option but at least Marco is not the size of a small point guard with small arms.

It sends Forbes to the bench which is the biggest plus. Starting Marco moves DeRozan to his natural position and makes him more comfortable. We still have our "spacer" but he's a bigger body. SF is maybe the weakest position in the league (besides the 2 LA teams) and he would match up against easier players defensively. And hopefully by starting him, he gets more confidence in himself and heats up a bit. It's not as crazy as it sounds.

I don't understand why Patty doesn't start in place of Forbes. He can't possibly be a worse defender and he's clearly better on offense. Forbes has a slight size advantage but they're basically redundant in what they (theoretically) do, except Patty is just better.

At this point I would surely rather see Beli start than Forbes, just for the sake of something different. This business with Forbes is like fingernails on a blackboard, repeated endlessly. I'd rather see the guy who mops the floor as a starter over Forbes.
I don't want either to start. But think about this: If Forbes gets injured who will start? Probably Marco. That's how stupid our coach is. Yet some people think he's the GOAT
