Can the Spurs make it two upset wins in a row?
Kori's preview: https://www.spurstalk.com/preview-pr...anuary-8-2020/
Spurs will need to change their offense to Aldridge post ups for this one. There's nobody on the Celtics that can guard him. The other question is: Can Bryn Forbes guard Jason Tatum?
It will be interesting to see what Pop does for the starting lineup. There’s literally no one to hide Bryn on...Tatum, Brown, Hayward? Kemba hasn’t played in the last three games he’s been sick but upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game.
yeah Bryn is a problem against the Celtics because anybody on their team can attack him ... the only solution to the Bryn problem is to allocate all his minutes to DJ, White and Walker ... maybe Carroll for spot minutes. Lets see how long it takes for Pop to realize that ...
The news of Forbes not starting would be better than any outcome this game can have, tbh.![]()
The Spurs are ahead of the Celtics in many of the league statistics. The notable stat where the Spurs trail is the number of 3pt shots made, where the Spurs are last in the league. However, the Celtics are not great at that, they rank 22nd.
In the last five games, the Celtics' three wins were against weak teams, the Hornets, Hawks, and Bulls. They lost to a Raptors team that was not at full strength.
If the Spurs play well they should win this. Fingers crossed.
Go Spurs Go!
Are there russian girls to chat with in Boston?
Forms on either Tatum or Brown
Is Kemba back for this game? If he's still out, maybe DJ can take one of them and Forms can guard Smart or whoever is starting at PG for them.
Kemba is playing tonight. Good luck Brent Forms
Should? Just look at our road record this year and the "tough" compe ion we've beaten.
I think it's more like, if the Spurs play well, they should probably lose by less than double digits.
At least Kemba will be under a minutes restriction. Stevens said he wont be playing his usual minutes.
Yeah I like Kori's spirit! Spurs by two!
Celtics easily cover tbh![]()
Historically, Forbes has played very good defense on Kemba. Brown this year is up and down and I fully expect him to play badly. Look for Forbes to have another breakout game
Spurs don't have a chance on the road
Btw I fully expect to see all of y’all’s written apologies in my thread after Forbes scores in double digits (Hitting 3+ threes) and plays his ass off on defense...Again. Like he has all year
No wonder we're 15-20.
Stop smoking weed. Forbes plays terrible. One Decent game once in a while does not exonorate him.
Celts 14-2 at home, gonna be tough one.
I'm starting to believe again. All the Spurs have to do is make 18 or more 3's at 55% or greater and this is a win
