, that is real. Most Americans have a very low grasp of geography and politics. That's why they are so susceptible to being lied to, but what are your excuses? You Argentines seem to be semi-intelligent in world affairs, but you also seem to buy everything the WH sells, especially in regards to Venezuela and Hugo Chavez.

    What gives?

What's with the semi-intelligent crack? Anyway, socialist ideals have been very popular over here since way back in the 1940's. There are still a lot of ignorant jackasses that believe Castro is actually doing good by his people! hahaha and its those same ignorants that believe Chavez is what Venezuela needs, instead of what he really is, which is a sociopath with a personal agenda for power, and an inexcrupulous thirst for power. This guy had hired people to shoot on protesters, rigged elections, not to mention he constantly lies through his teeth!!

Anyone who idolizes Chavez is in for a rude awakening when he doesn't relinquish power once his "supposed" term expires, which if he hadn't had his referendum, WOULD HAVE EXPIRED BY NOW!!

Hey, I feel your pain about rigged elections. Honestly the information on Venezuela and Chavez is so convoluted here that many people easily fall into the mind-trap of idealizing Chavez (not for being a socialist, but for standing up to the WH), while others demonize him as a tyrannical dictator. Didn't Jimmy Carter and the UN supervise the last Venezuela election?

I think Chavez is so popular among the poor he is likely to get re-elected for some time, assuming there are no controls as to how many times he can run, especially because Venezuela is bank-rolling it with high gas prices.

He is already a dictator Dan. What do you call someone who declares a state of emergency in order to have full control over his government and then makes an amendment to the cons ution in which one of the many changes stipulates he can be "reelected" as many times as he wants. There is a reason why there are limited terms of office!

Not only that, but he has suplanted all the supreme court justices with his own, and has almost complete control over the media. The information you recieve is not convoluted, its COMPLETELY FALSE! You have to live there to understand just how incredibly ed up things are. I lived there for 8 years bro, trust me, I know! I was at a march in which there were 2 million signatures collected in order to overthrow him. Do you know what 2 million signatures is in a country of 26 million?? Chavez was clearly elected democratically his first term, but he has acted like a dictator in the making ever since! and people are discontent, there is just not much they can do about it.

Eh, unfortunately we have dictators all over the world, including many close American allies, but very few are as publicly loathed as Hugo Chavez. We've been down the socialist road many times before, but still, this seems like a Venezuela problem.

Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona gestures after putting on a t-shirt that reads 'Stop Bush' during a news conference at a Buenos Aires train station, November 3, 2005. Maradona and other activists will travel by train to Mar del Plata, 400 km (250 miles) south of Buenos Aires, to participate in the Third People's Summit, the alternative to the Summit of the Americas. yeah, bare in mind that we're not talking about one of the prominent minds of our country. This guy had mad soccer skills man, the best player to have played the game. However, he is an ignorant man nonetheless.

You got to understand, that many people in EU hates bush and because of that anything that resembles to US. Personaly i'm amazed that he was elected for the second time and feel sorry for people in US.
As for the video clip: that guy put different names to australia and people allmost always picked the name he put there, so I guess italy, france, sri lanka - beware
I wonder what would bush said if this guy would put this map infront of him

I hope that there aren't (m)any more states sponsoring terrorist organizations so that the U.S. will not have to proactively defend itself anymore. Let's hope that there are no more attacks.
