..OK, so my Tax sticker had been expired for two months, but the incredible is that the cop was able to see that my sticker was expired from behind me and on a dark street. How en incredible is that?
Then he had the gall to tell me that if I just take my receipt (for a new sticker) to court with me on my court date they will likely dismiss the charges (a non-moving violation) for dismissal fees. I should have taped that on the cell! Can you see me telling the Judge that !
Judge: Innocent, guilty, or no-contest?
Me: None-of-the-above?
Sheeett....I see a defensive driving course in my future.

I bet you got pulled over for something else and he just noticed that. did you get another ticket?
Besides, the officer could have likely ran your license plate # and it shows on there when the inspection/registration expires or what have you. So since it had been two months..it was a no brainer.
You use the streets right? Pay your registration time.
I've got many tickets for no registration and they do dismiss it if you take them a receipt. Actually, I have to take the court a receipt for the ticket I got a couple of weeks ago for no inspection sticker. Defesive driving is only for moving violations. Calm down dude. getting those stickers. I only get them when I get tickets and I've gone as long as 2 years with expired stickers before getting caught. And it only cost me $10.

Nah, I asked him immediately as he came to my car why he pulled me over and he said my Tax sticker was expired. I was like, holy , you saw that?

Oh , I've gotten pulled over dozen's of times, so it's kinda old hat, and yes I've been pulled over for expired stickers and had to take defensive driving before. I've even gone the pleading innocent route and going to a jury trial for a busted license plate light, but I settled for the standard deferred adjudication before trial. Sheet...make them work for my $.
Defensive driving is so damn easy now that you can do it over the internet.

Yea he knew that because he ran your plate. He prolly ran it before he pulled you over.
I once was pulled over on 37 downtown going north. I had just passed the Alamodome and was driving with the music kind of loud and when I look at my rear view mirror I see lights flashing. I pull over, the officer walks up. Tells me I was going 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. He got me because he was in an unmarked car.
He goes: "I was behind you for a while, why didn't you pull over?"
My response: "I wasn't paying attention."
He gave me this look... lol

Nah, I'm not buying into the 'they ran your plate' line. That would make the city-county much too efficient to be possibly true.

I went 6 months without renewing my registration and even got pulled over for speeding (off with a warning) during that timeFinally renewed it 2 months ago, figured my luck just might run out soon if I didn't
the cop ran your plates.....its all registered if your stickers are up to date.....trust me...i got pulled over the same way....cop was to the right and back of me and pulled me over and said my stickers are expired......i had a suspended licensed and went to jail for that..........thats how he knew.......

if it expires in july and you go in october to renew it late, your next sticker still expires in july of the next year
thus making it totally pointless not to renew your

what if you havent driven an old car or work truck in like 3 years, would you have to buy like 3 stickers?
They ask you if you have been driving your vehicle during the time that the sticker has been expired. If not, they will renew it with the current date.

Yeah, in customized plates suck....i came back and had a reminder for a ticket, no big deal, but they can spot you.....that or you in ratted me out
