-- Richard Jefferson, Nets, scored 28 points and added 13 rebounds and seven assists in New Jersey's second 100-99 victory over Chicago.

-- Dirk Nowitzki, Mavericks, scored 34 points in Dallas's 103-84 blowout of San Antonio.

-- Tayshaun Prince and Ben Wallace, Pistons. Prince scored 27 points including 15 in the first half, while Wallace chipped in with 15 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in Detroit's 117-84 victory over Toronto.

-- Gilbert Arenas and Antwan Jamison, Wizards. Arenas scored 30 points and Jamison scored 23 including 17 in the second half as Washington remained unbeaten with an 87-79 victory over Orlando.

-- Pau Gasol, Grizzlies, scored 29 points to go along with seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks in Memphis's 113-106 win over Cleveland.

-- Allen Iverson, 76ers, scored 29 points along with 12 assists, five rebounds and three steals as Philadelphia beat Indiana 111-109 for it's first victory of the season.

-- Cuttino Mobley, Clippers, scored 27 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had five assists in Los Angeles's 100-99 overtime victory over Minnesota.

INJURED

Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady will miss three weeks because of back spasms. McGrady left practice on Friday after hurting his back on a dunk. He did not attend the Rockets' game against New Orleans on Saturday night.

WINNING STREAKS

Detroit defeated Toronto 117-84, Washington beat Orlando 87-79, Milwaukee defeated Miami 105-100 and the L.A. Clippers beat Minnesota 100-99 in overtime, as each team remains unbeaten.

GRAND OPENING

Charlotte defeated Boston in overtime 107-105 on Saturday. The victory came after the Bobcats officially opened their brand-new $265 million facility. The new arena played host to a sell-out crowd. Among the fans who filed the arena, were celebrities such as rap artist and part team owner Nelly, singer Ashanti, North Carolina coach Roy Williams and actor Will Ferrell.

LAST SECOND HEROICS

Richard Jefferson converted a three-point play with 1.5 seconds remaining to lift the New Jersey Nets over the Chicago Bulls 100-99 Saturday night. Jefferson's basket came after Chicago's Ben Gordon missed the second of two free throws with seven seconds left.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

LeBron James scored 36 points to go along with six assists in Cleveland's 113-106 loss to Memphis. Paul Pierce scored 32 points in Boston's 107-105 overtime loss to Charlotte.

UNHAPPY HOMECOMING

In his first game back, Michael Finley was held to two points in San Antonio's 103-84 loss to Dallas. Finley received a long, loud standing ovation when he entered in the first quarter, but was hardly heard from again despite playing 27 minutes.
