No contest.
LaDanian Tomlinson
Shaun Alexander or LaDanian Tomlinson?
I say Alexander.
Alexander has more yards and the Seahawks have a better record.
And?
Tomlinson does it all, rushing, receiving and passing. Alexander bascially just runs.
Alexander has more yards and TD's no? I think it's a tie.
Tatum Anderson or Mike Bell.
Either way...The broncos rb's own the league.
In this order: 1. LT 2. Alexander 3. McGahee 4. Dunn 5. Cadlliac Williams
NO!
1. LT and/or Sean
2. The Edge
3. Lamont Jordan
4. Priest or Larry Johnson
5. Stephen Jackson
Where's Willis and Dunn in your opinion? Larry Johnson, what has he done this year?? Priest is out. Jackson...How many one hundred yard games done he have this year? Isn't he a back up or spliting his time?
I forgot James in Indy.
Hey guys...new poster to the spurstalk forums (allthough I've been following it for a couple of years now), so be gentle...
Alexander is a phenominal running back. As a LOOONG-time fantasy football player I (along with most other people) was absolutely drooling at the prospect of him finally becoming the number one guy in Seattle...and, as a starter, he has more than met expectations. If he can keep it up we're talking a potential hall of famer...especially if they get a few championships under their belts. But, I'm sorry, he ain't no LT.
LT has the potential to be one of the greatest running backs in the history of the NFL, barring injuries (and this is a big Emmitt Smith/Earl Campbell fan talking). A couple of years back, when San Diego's offense quite franky sucked, he was putting up respectable numbers. Now that Brees has finally pulled his head out of his ass, and Gates has established himself as arguably the best TE in the league (no disrespect to Tony...hey the guy helped me win a couple of fantasy championships)...man, the numbers this guy could put up in the next few years are just freaking scary. I've watched the NFL for over twenty years and I don't think I've EVER seen a back with his blend of speed, quickness, hands, vision and power
To sum it up: Alexander is a great, GREAT back...with the potential to be an all-time great...but he's only human. LT is a freaking mutant.
Alexander has a better O-line than LT. Also, I still question Alexander's toughness. I would rather have a happy Jamal Lewis than Alexander.
LT is the best. When Jamal gets a new contract, he's number two.
Welcome, good first post, and on the money!
Shaun has more yards and his avg per carry is higher as well. LT is a great back, but I think Shaun is better.
Mike Anderson..133 604 4.5 4
Tatum Bell........80 562 7.0 5
Total..............213 1166 5.7 9
Broncos have the best running game in the league...BAR NONE.
BUT, LT is the .
Gonna be best ever when he is done.
Your just a homer. Tomlinson > Alexander
I think LT is better, but who would be alot better if he played for the Colts...![]()
Right now, LT, without a doubt. San Diego has more options, very good ones as a matter of fact, and he still has success.
Shaun has been the most important part of his offense and is the focal point of the attack and he can barely keep pace. I'm in no way knocking Shaun though.
I'm sure I will get flamed for this, but with the right mixture of luck, LT could be the greatest ever, which is unlikely because he doesn't the recognition he deserves. For anyone who doesn't think so, watch a charger game someday, and only pay attention to him.....he's unbelievable.
LT gets the tough yards. He also hits paydirt much more often over a period of time.
Tomlinson has the most TDs as a RB in the NFL with 15, you can also add 3 TDs to that if you count the passing TDs.
Total Yards for Tomlinson as passing, rushing, receiving. 1146 yrds 18 TDs
Total Yards for Alexander as no passing, rushing, receiving. 981 yrds 14 TDs.
