What’s the big deal here? It’s the same arrangement Daschle/Frist had back in 2001 with a 50/50 senate when Republicans had the tie breaker vote. As long as bills advance for a full vote in the committee vote is tied, the Dems don’t really lose anything here.
Party in power gets to change the rules if they feel like it. Republicans lost any sort on input when most of them wanted to go the authoritarian route. They should feel lucky to be free.

What rules do you think Schumer should have set?

Daschle took it up the ass from Frist even worse than Reid/Schumer did from McConnell, so if Schumer is only giving McConnell the same minority rights that Frist gave Daschle, I think Schumer did fine.

I get there's a norm here and that the VP can't be there all the time. I would have preferred to see McConnell and the GOP get screwed over, but the Dems just don't have it in them, and that's what bothers me.

What should Schumer have done to screw them over? He gave them nothing of substance. The Dems still control all the committees and if all the Dems on the committee vote in favor of something it moves forward for a full vote.

I get it, it just grinds my gears to see good faith negotiation with such an unprincipled operator as Mitch McConnell.

I’m fine with Schumer not fighting with him over meaningless . A lot more concerned with how aggressive Schumer and the Dems will get in ramming through judges and ramming through a massive budget reconciliation bill that the GOP can’t filibuster.

It's over. Not only is trump rural vote down, but most if not all counties I have looked at show D's performing better.

    Congrats to Majority Leader Schumer.
Believe I was the first to call with like 40% reporting IIRC.

You got your $2800 that pos Trump promised you but then didn't care to fight McConnell on thanks to your duly elected president Jospeh Biden and black women in Georgia.

it's unlikely, imo, that it would be 1 dem + 1 republican.

so is georgia electing two democrats, or two republicans?

    re-election should be interesting...

I believe a huge counter will rise up to the Repug voter suppression.

Like when that Abrams sista did some serious motivating to oust the two stinkers Loeffler and that other phuck.
It's gonna be car pools and all kinds of assistance to overcome Jim Crow 2.0 Repugs.

Shots fired at poll booths in GA 2022?
