    american neanderthals

Lets not forget also that Mexico abolished slavery decades before the savages of the north....

Nearly four years after Mexico’s legalization of medical marijuana, extending legal status to recreational use will make it the principal marijuana market in North America and, possibly, the world. The implications for commercial interests on both sides of the border are considerable and American businesses, in particular, are keeping a close eye on developments south of the border

The move to legalize marijuana by Obrador, who has been a strong proponent of decriminalization, is a significant step in the administration’s efforts to find a way out of a tragedy that has engulfed his country as the wildly profitable market for illicit drugs north of the border fuels the power of the Cartels.

    Meanwhile in medieval USA:

In 2019, marijuana arrests surpassed arrests for all violent crimes put together, according to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting statistics. Of those arrests, 92% were for misdemeanor possession. Erik Altieri of the cannabis advocacy group NORML decries the fact that “at a time when the overwhelming majority of Americans want cannabis to be legal and regulated”, police departments across the country are making a “marijuana-related arrest every 58 seconds.”

Mexico’s decision to ‘legalize it’ will put pressure on American lawmakers to make a choice. They can either side with the majority of Americans who want an end to legal restrictions on a plant or they can continue to side with a growing police state and prison industrial complex by demonizing their neighbor to the south and shave a few seconds off the 58.

Republicans need to budge on something. Weed seems like the obvious choice.

I have a libertarian position on this. I think it should ALL be legal. You want to destroy yourself, go to the counter at Walgreens and sign for it. Put cartels out of business or at least limit them. And less likely to die from something that's regulated, as opposed to to the dirty drugs on the street that you get from street people who cut it with whatever they want.

"Det Mexican weed gonna be good "

It's gonna be over priced outdoor lousy with poor quality control. Anywhere they could sell it outside of Mexico already has better pot ag centers in their countries already.

Exactly! It's going to be trash like it has always been coming across the border. The good is kept in MX. Acapulco had some damn good bud when I visited damn near 20 yrs ago; that bud was ridiculously good.

the cartels are already talking about working on raising quality, but investing there. Cartel's idea's of a corporate takeover are a little extreme.

That's the downfall of the dispensary scene here. There is no formal quality control or standardizing of pricing/grading. Some dispensaries just get bad product because they don't have good relationships with growers and some dispensaries price for whatever they can get for it. I don't fault them, it's business, but just like buying beer, check your packaging (born-on) date before purchase. Also, some dispensaries will buy the packaging since it's so easy to come by, of name brands, especially Cookies, and stuff their own or whatever they get from local growers and put the name brand price.

There are some bad dispensaries, there are some good dispensaries and there are some rad dispensaries. But honestly, the Nevada dispensaries are better than the CA dispensaries because they get the best of both Colorado and CA pots and their taxes are a fraction of CA and CO taxes.

But, if you got the plug, you don't have to worry. And you can find a killer plug in Cali as easily as you can find a dopehead.

Nope, but you said it would be "good" and a wise investment. How is that possible when Muricans, who would be their predominant customer base, have access to higher quality pot from domestic growers? Same story for Canada.

Europe has better pot than Mexico. Anywhere they would hope to have an installed customer base already has superior pot, and easy access to it. This is no game changer.

The US states that are doing legalization right are doing seed to customer tracking with lab testing for pesticides, lead, etc. and The US quality is definitely world class. There are problems with contaminated oils, flower etc. through unlicensed dispensaries and illegal channels but I am confident that over time the licensed legal channels will prevail.

Lest anyone be taking investment advice from hater, just remember that he dropped this galaxy brain take when GME was peaking at over $400.

The hype is real today. Its going up. But yes at some point ppl will sell and it will crash. Still. A no brainer to buy today and watch it closely. Since everyone will be doing that today. Its going astronomical imo

    not at all

the War on Drugs, going back to Harry Anzinger in the '30s, was always the racist war on blacks, then Repug criminal Nixon added anti-VN-war hippies.
