Wow, the Magic were pitiful to watch. I don't look forward to that level of tanking, tbh.

I believe this is the first back to back win for this season. The Spurs really hates playing at home.
I thought they were in the tanking mode. But heck I’ll take the win. That was fun watching the Spurs dominating their opponent for once. I hope this gives them the enough confidence and get them back on the hunt. Lonnie is becoming more and more the player that fans came to see. Everybody seems more focuced, deliberate. Seeing KBD play was good. I hope Spurs have their full roster soon. Great win.

Only one winner today, the Orlando Magic, gunning for the No1 overall pick, yet another L for us remaining a treadmill team. We're not even the Hornets of the west who used to be the gold standard of treadmilling because they actually have a guy in Lamello. We're the Bulls of the west now. Mediocrity for ever.
Can we just stop this turd of a comment about treadmill teams. We are in the process that has taken a few years. We have a whole bunch of decisions to make on our cap space and free agents to truly see where we at.
omg, all this whining and crying. Enjoy the wins!
Yeah, it's not like the Magic hasn't been a treadmill team since forever. Let's see how they this up again and their future star (not guaranteed) from this draft leaves in four years. Some of y'all choose the worst teams as examples.
Good win. The way these guys played the past few weeks, no team is a guarantee
First time we've won both ends of a road back-to-back since 2016
It's so ing re ed and such a prevalent take on here... Oh look, a rookie the Hornets drafted literally last year, that isn't even getting them into the playoffs, is gonna take them off mediocrity for sure!! But the Spurs have no chance of landing a pick like that, not even by being a team like Charlotte was/is all those years, you heard?! Mediocrity FOR EVER!!!
Great post. You’re getting on but you’re right. This front office is abysmal and rudderless, and when they actually make a decision, it’s a ing head scratcher. Expecting Brian Wrong to actually do anything right.
Honestly why does anyone think the Spurs are in tanking mode? The Spurs have lost a lot recently because Patty Mill's and Devin's production fell off a cliff, Lonnie was out, and the schedule is pretty damn hard right now. You add in that there is virtually no practice time for the ones who really need it like Keldon and its easy to see why the Spurs have struggled for the past month. But they aren't trying to lose games.
What do they accomplish getting in the play-in and not get in? Or get trounced in the 1st round? A lottery pick would help Spurs more either by developing or packaging for the player that we need. I was one who didn't want the 22 yrs record broken, but it's over with. It's time to get the best position to get the player(s) Spurs need.
Agree with Pop's grade. Starters didn't play a ton of minutes per se but they should have played about 8 less. This game was over in the third quarter, Pop should have had Luka in the entirety of the 4th and probably half of the third
I've accepted the Spurs losing because I want them to get a higher pick. But an occasional trouncing is very satisfying
Spurs aren't out-tanking the likes of the Kings, Wizards, Thunder, Rockets, Wolves, Magic, Cavs, Pistons at this point.
They could actively try to lose every single game and their position in the overall standings isn't going down much because the other teams are doing the same thing.
We are pretty much firmly in the 8th-14th draft range which is going to be able the same level of talent in this draft, so rooting for losses and pissing off the fans doesn't make sense.
I said in another thread we are the Kemba Walker-Hornets of the West. Demar is now playing the role of Kemba.
Well, we'll take it.
Patty Mills has gotten annoying with his hero-balling. I really thought he stunted Walker's momentum last night by chucking up shots so fast. Maybe he's a spark, but he also can kill other guys' mojo just as easily by not setting anyone up or allowing the offense to get into a rhythm. Patty "Chucker" Mills.
KBD continue to look better than Cunningham? Really interested in what happens with him, Lyles, and Samanic.
Probably stays using the second year allowable of the two-way contract, then earns his Eubanks contract right after that if he's the right fit in the locker room + performs well next season.
They don't accomplish anything if they don't get into the playoffs, but its obvious they value the chance at getting in more than moving up a couple of spots.
Could be a great 3/4 combo forward to replace Rudy. I still don't think any of our young forwards have gotten adequate playing time this season.
