Tim Duncan looks to rebound from one of the worst shooting performances of his career when the San Antonio Spurs host the winless Atlanta Hawks.
Duncan finished with 11 points Saturday, making just 3-of-18 shots including a stretch of missing 15 straight, in the Spurs' 110-95 loss to the Washington Wizards.

"Timmy didn't have his best night," San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said, "but that's going to happen now and then."

It was Duncan's worst scoring output since he had three points on 1-of-8 shooting against the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 20 of last season.

"It was just a long night. Things happen, the season happens. Those guys played well tonight; give them credit," Duncan said. "We compounded them playing well with myself playing very, very badly."

Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with a season-high 28 points on 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point range, while Tony Parker scored 23 for the third straight game. Bruce Bowen made 2-of-3 3-pointers and is second in the league in 3-point percentage (64.7).

Duncan, who's recorded a double-double in every game this season, will be trying to regain his shooting touch against an Atlanta team that hasn't been able to stop anyone recently.

The Spurs have won 11 of their 14 games against the Hawks since Duncan's rookie season, and Atlanta hasn't won at San Antonio since Feb. 15, 1997.

The Hawks, who've lost 38 of their last 41 games dating to last season, are one defeat from matching the worst start in franchise history set in the 2000-01 season.

Atlanta suffered another tough loss in its last game as Memphis' Pau Gasol tipped in the ball at the final buzzer to give the Grizzlies an 85-84 win on Saturday.

"We played hard for 48 minutes, and didn't get the bounce at the end," Hawks forward Al Harrington said.

Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 17 points and had a career-high 12 assists on a night when the Hawks bench scored the same number of points as the starters.

"If we play like we did (Saturday night), we'll win a lot of games," Josh Smith said. "We have to believe as a unit we can win."

The Hawks have lost twice this season in the final moments of the game. The Portland Trail Blazers defeated Atlanta 94-93 on Nov. 5 when Zach Randolph made the winning free throw with 0.2 seconds remaining.

STANDINGS (through Nov. 13): Hawks - 5th place, 5 GB, Southeast Division. Spurs - 1st place, Southwest Division.
