dlink works mighty fine for me
Ours sucks. It's a Linksys and if you move out of the same room, it barely works if at all. And now even the computers that are plugged right into it have problems on and off, forcing us to restart the router a couple times per day.
What is the best wireless router out there?
Thanks.

Must be something in the air. My FOURTH Linksys wireless router just went out this weekend.

We have Microsoft MN-700.
zero problems
In ebonics, please.
Thanks.
Yeah, F Linksys.
And I never got the mail-in rebate from Best Buy on this one, either...![]()
Thanks.
Microsoft always has the best stuff.

I was debating whether to say *coughMicrosoftcough*
But seriously, no problems. My husband's laptop is the only wireless computer, and he uses it in the other room and sometimes outside on the patio with no problems.
Now RR on the other hand...
mayne, u best get that d-link bull , then ya homeboys aint even gotz ta roll up in ya crib. they just chill in dat impala outside.
Ight.
Mad straight, dun.
D-Link is the best that I've used.
We have the Belkin setup.
Sounds to me like User Error.
I've never had any problems with Netgear.
Ditto here...
D Link and Netgear are both good.
Linksys is total and utter ing garbage. had about 4 of those es in the old school routers *with wires* and finally was able to get people to wise up and tell them to off with their junk. works for maybe 3 months before slowing dying in terms of ports going out and what not.
I have some omni directional Hi gain antennas and you probably want to put one of those on your router. That boosts the sensitivty of the antenna. Linksys does tend to be though. I would go with a D-Link. But placement of the router is key, as is having some hi gain antennas on it. I think I'm about to go buy a directional antenna, and if I do you can have one of my hi gain's.
Dude I have Linksys too! Eff that! I'm always dropping my connection and having to restart the router, it sucks. And I thought it was supposed to be an okay brand.
Here's what I use with my iMac, but it works for Windows as well. Zero issues so far and it has been running continously for over a year. I haven't rigged it up yet, but you can wirelessly stream iTunes through it to your home stereo as well.

I have linksys, and Im not too happy with it either, but we had everything I needed in stock at the time at work, if I had to do it again, Id probably get the d-Link.
