It's likely that nobody cares but me, but alas...

The Bobcats can likely sew up a playoff spot for the first time ever with a victory this Saturday against conference rival Sam Houston State.

If Nicholls State loses @ home, the Bobcats can win their first Southland Conference le outright (if Nicholls wins, they'd share with the automatic playoff bid going to Nicholls).

The Griz are good. Except that year when they played the Pennington-Moss Thundering Herd. It was their last year as 1-AA and they crushed Montana.

Yeah, my cousin went there to school (University of Montana). I've been to Montana but never to Missoula, I'm sure it is beautiful (in summer) like the rest of the state.

As a Texas State grad....I care! I am going to the game Saturday, in hopes of seeing the cats win their 1st ever SLC le!

They are ranked #5 in the ESPN 1-AA poll, and Mel Kiper is calling our QB (Barrick Nealy) the 5th best SR QB in the country!

Can you believe I can't find that movie at any rental store here?

I may just have to go into the big blue and buy it.

For anybody else that's interested, we just starting adding video to some of our news coverage at The University Star. I filmed the last two games (McNeese & @ SFA) and we have some of the highlights on our site.

    Co-conference champions.

Nicholls gets in on the automatic berth since they beat us and we're waiting for the at-large call later today (12p on ESPN or ESPN 2 for the selection show).

I think we have a great chance of getting a home game next Saturday. The only thing that scares me about our chances is the same situation we were in happened to Montana.

Montana lost, but they're virtually assured of an at-large, so that's one less chance for us.

I'm going to be with the team when they have the announcement in a few hours, so hopefully it's good news and we have at least one home game to cover.

Already was a couple of times...but that's not important in the least.

When Nick Session ran in the TD for the win, he ran around the back of the end zone to a spot where the team (and about 8,000 students) met him. I was in the middle of that pile filming.

Being part of that was the best and being part of the "Weekend of Champions" special edition we're putting out will be even better.

That was a proud day in TxState history!!! I am so glad I drove down to San Marcos Saturday. We played like crap, with 5 fumbles (2 inside the SHSU 5 yard line) and a missed FG, but the OT ending was awesome. I was very impressed w/ the fan turnout and the the rush of excitement on the field was great. Now we play Georgia Southern (8-3) on Saturday at our house. Go Cats!!!!
