97 - 91. Clippers win this one, but they've still got three more against the Lakers.

Anyone think this game was a playoff preview? Anyone think the Clippers won by a fluke? Or does anyone think this is for REAL?

I, for one, am happy that this is happening. And it doesn't surprise me either, because when it comes down to it, the Clippers are a deeper team than the Lakers. As good as Kobe Bryant may be, the Lakers simply lack the depth and the frontcourt to be serious playoff contenders. Don't be surprised if the Lakers start making trades within the next month.

Oh, and the Clippers are tied with the Spurs for first in the WC! I may start watching more Clips games, because I think this season may be the breakout season for the Clippers, and this season may be the season that the Clippers prove to the world that they truly are better than the Lakers (I believe such, myself). I can just feel it right now.

Image how much better they would be if Kobe chose them over the Lakers when he was a free agent.

What's funny about this is that there really is no home/road team in a Clippers vs. Lakers game, despite the logo on the floor, or the color of the team's uniforms. Imagine if they faced each other in the playoffs. Four to seven games in a whole playoff series exclusively at Staples Center.

As long as they stay healthy, the Clippers are a definate playoff team. Cassell and Mobley add the veteran "finishers" that they needed badly last year when they lost about 20 games by 3 points or less.

Yeah...look where Odom's playing now! I think he's the only active player so far to have played for BOTH LA teams (to my knowledge anyway).
