pistons off to best start since bad boys days
let them win and get a big head tonight and get a asswhipping next game
Tough call, - first key in seedings is to win the Division so usually would want Dallas to lose.
Then again, I am tired of seeing the Pistons be called the greatest thing seemingly to ever get on a court lately and ultimetely it will most likely be Spurs and them this year fighting for best record.
Tonight therefore I am begrudingly rooting for the Mavs.

Can both teams lose? If not go Mavs!
Normally, I would agree with my learned colleague, the Good Doctor, but Mouse has made it utterly impossible for me to root for the Mavs.
So, since our first wish (that both teams can't lose), I will reluctantly root for the Pistons.
The Pistons have been extremely impressive. To win your first eight games is impressive regardless of who the teams are. Also, winning the year before last and getting to the Finals and coming 18 minutes from winning it all (up by 9 in the middle of the third quarter).
Piston<Spurs is a cool poster with whom we have good discussions, but it will take a lot for me not to look at the team as a bunch of thugs from the hood.

Mavs up 31-12 with around 2 minutes left.
this is ugly, WE WILL COMEBACK, DOWN 26 IN THE FIRST IS NOTHING WHEN YOU HAVE DARKO. remember that.
Major butt whippun so far...40-16 1st Q
San Antonio down 25-24 after 1st
id rather be in san antonios position at the moment.
Pistons are facing their first real oppenent this year.
I'm rooting for the Mavs right now. The Pistons don't deserve to win after that sickening first quarter. I hope the Mavs pour it on to make the Pistons re-think themselves.

fluke obviously
Welcome to the West Pistons. After feeding on road kill, nice to see all the recent hype, then hype is just that - Pistons are a very good team, that is all. One of just several in the NBA.
Dallas is for real, that is for the regular season folks, then we all know what will happen!
As were games 1,2, and 5!![]()
Yes, you got it.
Huh? The East has tougher teams than the West this year. Dallas and the Spurs are the only 2 REALLY good teams in the West. Outside of that, who? Clippers?Denver has been a bust, Utah will never be healthy, the Amare-less Suns are average, the Kings have been a HUGE dissapointment thus far, and the Lakers suck as usual.
We are 4-1 on the road against the west. I'll take that anyday.
The days of West dominance is over.

I'll agree, the East overall has better teams. But the East also has the Hawks, Raptors and Knicks. That's an unfair advantage. West is still better.
Conference matchups. Suns have Stoudemire out. Put him back and they are in the top six of the league - 3 in each conference. Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Heat, Pistons, Pacers.
Clippers and Cleveland about the same and Denver will most likely get it going again. Sacremento (starting to gell) and Memphis appear tough. Sonics struggling but could go on a run. Meanwhile, WA, Sixers, Bulls all also with a lot of questions and Bucks are a good team but don't see them great yet.
West has Duncan, Garnett, Nash, Kobe, McGrady, Yao and Amare (when healthy) plus other stars.
East has Shaq and Wade, James, Iverson, Kidd, Wallace
Stars about the same.
Conference are close. Saying East is definetely better is unfounded right now.
