This is basically what they wqnted to do in Venezuela last year in that botched attempt at Maduro. Looks like they were more succesful here but botched their escape.
If I was Haiti I would ask Russia/China/Venezuela for intelligence assistance here. As obviously the US and other latin countries are not trustworthy here.
