    Circuit City was running this big ass internet ad last week. Online shopping of a 51 inch Phillips HD TV for 799. No frickin rebates or anything, so I ordered it... Sheyitt.....

    Upon checkout, the order said that it was on back order or some and that they would send me an email as to when I could go pick it up.... Some 24 minute deal they have going...

    They never charged me because they never asked for my credit card or anything..

    So, I get this email last night saying my TV is in, so I go to pay for it and the price is 1200 or something like that.... and that my price is no longer guaranteed....

    Is that a scam or what???????

    Pisses me off.

    I hope you threw a hissy fit, ask for the manager and raised in general so everyone in the store knew what they did. I would even consider calling channel four troubleshooters, see if they are interested. Rip-off deluxe.

    Yea look at that post about the laptops. Where I was talking about the evil loss leader tactic. A "hot" item used a rat bait...

    If you have printouts I would contact the DA's dispute resolution office. Sue em for false advertisement. There are some laws on the books that help if they advertise for a particular price.

    you know, I didn't save the printout...........

    SW, when I told Lorie that I bought another big screen with HD........ she gave me that you got to be kidding me look and something about wtf are we going to do with the 60 inch screen that looks perfect...

    I told her it would be like getting Lasiks but with a new tv...

    Not the same thing at all... they mis-advertised the price on the exact item he got, not baited him into buying something else.
