How old are you?
Alan Greenspan says what I've been trying to tell people. The US can't afford all that it has promised to Seniors.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and visit and study this site. (CPA for the United States issues warning).

Here are the recent law changes addressing the problem:
1. Cut Food Stamps (wow that's a problem)
2. Act as a bill collector for Credit Card Companies(WTH is that?)
3. Freeze sales taxes for Seniors. (makes sense since older people have most of the money so younger people should foot most of the bill HUH?)

not old, but I'm expected to foot most of the bill.
Not a lot we can do 'tl the BB's start kicking...
78 million of them in a democracy.
Good luck cutting anything; 'specially since that has been pretty much a "live in the moment" kind of generation - appropriate savings & retirement accounts woefully inadequate. That's O.K. - we still have the SS trust fund (full of government bonds, but no money).
In this one short story; Medicare is unsustainable, Social Security is unfunded, the debt is completely out of control. I cannot fathom how so many seemingly rational people cannot recognize the simple fact that the government pretty much screws up everthing it tries to do (most wars included).
