ROY yes, all-rookie. But it’s pushing a lot, and borderline risky to get him playing all out in his 1st 2 years.

I don’t expect the Spurs would. So nah. And it’s for the long-term good.

Timmy had 4 years of College and his body was well-developed. I can't say the same for Wemby

ROY is possible but I would almost say it's unlikely. The Spurs don't need to play him minutes, they don't need to max his potential in season 1. All NBA is almost completely out of the question especially with the current climate of bigs in the league.

Just for a heads up, the trophies for the LNB (French League) season were given today. Wemby won:
    - MVP
    - DPOY
    - Best young player
    - All-LNB First team
    He also won:
    - Best scorer
    - Best rebounder
    - Best blocker

Basically he won the entirety of the trophies that were in contention today.

If Miami makes it to the Finals, the talent across the league is diminishing. Wemby is going to shine bright as .

ROY is very unlikely tbh... this draft is deep with dudes who are NBA ready physically like Scoot, Pop won't risk anything with Victor, he won't have the minutes or the number games to enter an all NBA team or compete for ROY.

I believe we have in front of us a 3 years plan with first year being mostly acclimation and body reinforcement, then a push for a PO spot and a third year to compete.

Bumping this thread. Know it’s still early in the season, but things look promising to say the least.

Wemby makes everyone around himself better, and is allowing players to play a role they can thrive in. Plus he is the real deal.

After that Sun’s game, I would say Wemby is ready to take over. He was asking the ball and he would not be denied. I think Pop will let him get more touches especially with Devin’s injury. Wemby relishes challenges. He is a winner. He is not shy from the spotlight. He is used to the s om. He is handling it perfectly well. Pop was being careful, but Wemby can handle himself out there. ROTY, All-NBA, DPOY all a possibility.

Did they do away with positions? Could hurt his chances as they just put a bunch of high usage perimeter players
