For years now, Woj and Shams have been tipping picks before they happen, posting them to Twitter. One has said he won't do it this year; the other presumably will.
A spoiler-free thread allows people to not get spoiled about the picks before they actually happen.
a lot of the trades/picks are reported on twitter and such before the picks are turned. if people are watching the live event on TV and want to tune into spurstalk for the discussion, they might not want to see picks spoiled before they see it on their screen

Back in the day Spurs Talk was a beautifully experiment in “hands off” moderation. What was interesting over the years was the experiment seemed to me to have worked. Spurs talk posters “grew up” and largely tired of overly trolling one another or posting cuss word just because they could. Like when my 7-year old son when through his swearing phase, LOL
Meanwhile, boring or redundant threads dropped to the bottom like magic, almost as if by design! ��
