NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Knicks waived forward Matt Barnes on Saturday.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Barnes average 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in six games this season. He as signed as a free agent on Oct. 6, 2005.
