Skip gets paid to make controversial takes. If he didn't, no one would watch. He's not a big deal if you understand why he does what he does. Sometimes it is over the top, even for his shtick, but it works because he appears here and on other boards regularly.
is Skip a hardcore Spurs fan? Because he seemed to be anti-Kawai to pro Kawai after getting a paid of kicks from him, or maybe it was mandated by Fox Sports which is based in LA and Nephew is a Clipper, when he decides to play.

His main problem was the foul trouble and the turnovers. Both of those are fixable and will improve over time.
Some of the fouls were him just trying to play too quick, or just soft whistles in general. He still needs to learn how to set a solid screen.
When he was actually on the floor, he looked fine. If you extrapolate to Per36:
23.5 points
7.8 rebounds
3.1 assists
1.6 blocks
3.1 steals
That is more than acceptable for his first ever NBA game against a good Dallas team.

Haha, Skip was on the Spurs bandwagon since the big 3 era...When Nephew escaped to Toronto, he refused to call his name and only refer him as "Number 2". He only sided back with Nephew after Nephew surprised Skip by choosing to go the cursed Clippers instead of joining forces with Skip's biggest enemy, Lebron.
Skip had not really discuss about Spurs since they did not make the playoffs for 4 years. But his last comments on the Spurs was dissing Pop being senile and making some stupid decisions.
He’s still one of us. Just taking contrarian debate points since Key and Pierce are pro Wembanyama based on that segment today.
