Imagine tuning in to watch the most hyped rookie since Lebron get outplayed by Dereck Lively.
Imagine tuning in to watch that player, and instead see Tony Brothers calling fouls. No one paid for a ticket, or tuned in to see Wemby on the bench. I imagine the league office is not pleased. As late as the game was, I’m sure a lot of TVs were turned off in the second quarter when he had a foul called 25 Seconds into his second rotation.
Lively played a good game. He’s got a great motor, and good athleticism, but his actual basketball skill could fit into a thimble, and he did almost all of his damage with Wemby on the bench. If you need a basket, and he’s more that 3 feet from the hoop, pass the ball to someone else.

It was disheartening to see a ref pick on a rookie so soon in his rookie year. Like for Grant Williams? That's what we are taking Wemby out of the game for? Dude wanted to teach Wemby a lesson. And early too. I wish Pop got ejected on game one tbh. Show he had Wemby's back for the bs Brothers was giving and he wasn't going to stand for it. But it's bad for his heart probably at this age and stage
