They can start packing their bags if they're going to be little es about it--Vassell included. Hes worth more than all of them combined on and off the court.

I don't blame him. Imagine having to suck off some guy on your team every single interview regardless of how well he or the team played or if you won or not. If you were any person with self respect would get tiresome after awhile.

9 games in and the media is still centered around Wemby. They are even asking opposing players about him after the game, which I don’t know… is kind of weird.

Maybe in video form it's not as bad but based on the text that reaction by Vassell ain't normal, imo. Especially nine games into his career. He's still a novelty. He's still facing a lot of teams/players for the first time. And he's the next mega star for the league, that's just the reality. Doesn't matter if the amount of questions do get annoying responding like that is just strange. Doesn't help that many people are also noticing that the team is failing to get him the ball in advantageous situations. If there's any correlation between the two that's absolutely terrible for the growth of the team, tbh.

I watched his full press conference. Before he said "I wanna focus on winning" he spoke for a full minute about how "Wemby is special" and praising his game. He answered 5 full minutes of questions, and then he walked out after giving a detailed answer to the last question in a friendly tone with a smile on his face. That's the context.
