Giveaway should have been Brown on the bench. Spot on.
Fool me once...
We've got in' Brett Brown on our coaching staff, the clues have been right under our noses the whole time. Welcome to The Process.
Will Wemby be as Patient as Embiid?
Can we do better than the Sixers did the drafts following Wemby?
- 2015, drafted Okafor over Kristaps P, Myles Turner, Devin Booker, Scary Terry
- 2016, drafted Simmons over Ingram, Jaylen Brown
- 2017, drafted Fultz over Tatum (with their original pick at that), DMitc , Bam
The Process ended in after the 2017 draft when Philly and Boston swapped picks. Will we be waiting until after the 2026 draft when we have Atlanta's swap? The timelines would be identical.
LOL us Popsniffers.

The worst part is that no one can "Bob Hill" Pop seeing as he's the president and all.
It's only a 1yr+ tank because of the old man. If they would have Jerry Sloan'd him in the offseason and hired Ime, they'd be in the playoffs by next season tbh.
Save us budenholzer
We’ve gotta get Bud up in here.
Bud![]()
That's just an old man retread. Get some new blood that will clean house in the coaching staff. They need somebody to change this loser culture that's permeated the franchise and the majority of the loser fanbase since Kawhi 9/11'd them.
"tanking" and "sucking" are two different things.
the thing is Pop is actually trying to win games though
All Pop's doing is rolling out the balls
"the sochan at point experiment" is blatant tanking
we may get fined for tanking like the ing mavs did
see sig
Spurs can get into the coaching rotation and end up with 5 coaches in 10 years if they had the "win now" pressure LA always has, but they don't.
We’re not watching the Spurs tank. We’re watching them collapse.
The dead weight is too much for the structure to bear.
Houston Texans turnaround with a good coach and great draft pick.
We can dream.
There should be no sacred cows on this team, except Wemby. Everyone else should be viewed as expendable if a trade can be made. There's simply not a viable path to the playoffs with this roster, especially defensively. So restart and build entirely around Wemby, including a team that knows how to throw a ing entry pass to a guy who can catch a pass at 10'. It's true incompetence how often these guys don't dump it into him.
The flasher ruined any chance of us getting Ime. Would've been too much bad press
there's just not good enough players on the roster... outside of the top 6 players everyone else is either a prospect for development but once u put them in game and they are a negative impact... we just need better players all around... they just all look clueless on the court....
The best former Spurs assistant is coaching Houston.
Good on OP for admitting his mistake tbh. Lol at all the other sniffers who swore this team was better than they appeared and would threaten a play in spot this year![]()

it didnt have to be a 1 year tank. but the FO deliberately brought back the entire tank team + wemby
oh i guess they swapped out KBD and Langford for Osman and Cissoko
and even with that said, the coaching has been absolutely abysmal. it just looks like everybody is freelancing on both ends of the court
it isn't tanking, its the experimental stage
let’s not continue to rationalize pop’s bad decisions. He lost all benefit of the doubt when he decided Bryn Forbes was the most important player in the roster a few seasons ago.
There is no coaching rationale to playing Sochan as point guard. It is possible to tank without this nonsense. The spurs did it last year
Popovich: this season is about learning AND WINNING
Popovich: playing Sochan at point guard will improve defense
Reality: this team is worse than last year, even with the addition of a generational talent
Reality: this defense is worse than last year, even with a monster on defense added to the lineup, even with an all-big lineup
The fact is, Popovich is simply a bad coach at this point in his career.
Unfortunately the bad PR of Primo probably made bringing Ime in an impossibility. Unless I'm remembering the timeline wrong, that had to be a factor. But maybe the Spurs never considered him. They've done dumber stuff.
I told you this could easily be a lottery year for us
