have to wait until after bowl season for a clear answer
The Ducks have one loss to the #1 team in the country, and a probable trip to the Holiday Bowl. Ohio State with two losses and Notre Dame with two get the at-large bids.
My neighbor, a TCU grad, thinks that the Frogs played a tougher schedule than Oregon. I disagree, but wins over Cougar High and I-AA Montana aren't going to win any votes.
Is this slighting West Coast (specifically Pac-10) football, or do the Irish and the Buckeyes deserve to play for the big money?
have to wait until after bowl season for a clear answer
sorry oregon is incapable of successfully marketing
TOOORRRTILLLAAAAAASSS
it seems like the fiesta bowl would've picked ohio state over oregon... but they weren't even given that option since ohio state moved up to #4 in the final bcs rankings thus guaranteeing their bcs bid. i think i read somewhere that this was the last year for that rule. does anyone else know?
oregon vs. oklahoma in the holiday bowl. could be a good game. it's too bad that we won't get to see what oregon could've done with kellen clemens.
W- UH, 6-5
W- Montana, 8-4 (I-AA)
W- Fresno St, 8-4
L- USC, 12-0 (#1)
W- Stanford, 5-6
W- ASU, 6-5
W-Washington, 2-9
W- Arizona, 3-8
W- Cal, 7-4
W- WSU, 4-7
W- Oregon St, 5-6
Notice that they didn't play UCLA this year.
The Pac-10 gets screwed by the BCS EVERY YEAR! It's a ing joke! They should pull out from the BCS.
OREGON...BYE BYE....
Um, who in Texas really cares? Judson would likely be -3 vs the Ducks... Gotta Love Rackley
Wish they would, then REAL football teams would get in...
That sums it up...Notre Dame is the Fancier School so who gives a rat's ass about Oregon and their god awful ugly Uniforms.
TV ratings and Fans traveling sealed the Ducks fate.
yeah those mallards
The Ducks travel well, so that wouldn't have anything to do with it. It's all about TV ratings.
I agree...well, it is a bit tainted...
GO DUCKS..TAKE STATE!
(MY DAUGHTER WANTED THE TIMMY HEAD BELOW...)

My JAP_AGGIE wife calls it the FLOW (FRO in proper pronunciation)
That is pretty funny.
Anyway, I feel bad for Oregon. Put West Virginia in either the Pac 10 or the Big 12 and they would have lost at least twice in conference play. Instead, after surviving a bruising Big East schedule with storied football programs like Cincinnati, UConn, South Florida, and Rutgers, the Mountaineers get a big-money bowl.
With the Sugar Bowl in Atlanta this postseason, I'd take UGA and give away however many points Vegas tells me I have to.
Notre Dame is a . TV ratings should have nothing to do with BCS bids. I want to see the 8 best teams. Money is too much a factor, and it makes it dirty.
But the Shockey vid makes your post AWESOME!!!!
I wanted to see Nortre Dame vs. Penn State
And why did Florida State make it?
Florida State got in by virtue of winning the ACC championship. Automatic bid.
They've done that before. Somehow they manage to win the ACC and get a BCS bid even in their down years.
That's funny stuff when you consider that Nebraska has gotten their asses kicked every time they've played a Pac-10 team in a Bowl game.

Someone tell the Ducks to see what has happened to Kansas State and Cal in the past and if they win their bowl convincingly then they can talk .
But yeah, I think they got shafted. A win over Oklahoma gives future credibility for the Pac 10.
I'd hit it.
