T-Wolves are on a back-to-back after beating the Nuggets in a nailbiter yesterday. This is a scheduled L, let's hope our guys can keep it compe ive![]()
While I think there is a level of basic respect, I get the feeling that Wemby doesn’t really like Gobert.
Noone likes Gobert.
People say it for a lot of bigs, but Gobert is actually the player who's earning a living from basketball just because he's tall.
He's ing tragic at everything on offense except for easy dunks. Can't even punish mismatches or develop a proper turnaround hook.
But he has the arrogance of an all-time great player.
This game is the real test for our defense. I'd like to see Jeremy deal with Randle, but then we'd have noone for Edwards.
Randle will probably kill Barnes, tbh.
Did ya'll see Christian Braun put Gobert on a poster yesterday, then get in Gobert's face, causing Lunatic Gobert to come out and practically assault Braun before his brain turned on and realized what was happening? Classic Gobert stuff all around. Braun will be showing that to his grandkids for decades.
That was actually a really entertaining game between MIN and DEN last night... MIN *should* be drained after a game like that. If we had anything resembling offensive coherence, I'd say we could steal a win tonight... but, I expect us to lose by 20 instead.
If Pop wasn't a jackass, I'd suggest we match Edwards and Randle minutes up 1:1 with Castle and Sochan minutes, with Castle on Ant. Would be a great early career test for Steph. Instead, I expect some bull like Branham trying to guard Ant, and Ant responding with a 40 bomb.
great dunk.
Not a fan but he's not just tall. He got paid bc of stuff he can do like the last action of the game vs Jokic or a few plays before.
He has the arogance of a guy who gets shat on all year long by the fans but is a +300M career earnings player.
Spurs app says game is at 7pm CT btw
I hate them from that late season game where they kept calling time outs and running plays for Anthony Edwards to get his 50 points when they were already up by like thirty points. that grade school .
I think the Spurs sonning them in 2022 when they were fresh off the Gobert trade and riding high made up for that. The Spurs were so bad they got the first-overall pick, but they took two of three early games against the Wolves and basically set the tone of Minny's disappointing season. Basically like the Suns from last year but with no Wemby to justify the losses.
Thanks for the heads up. I had to double check
Pop's out tonight
Feeling under the weather
I just got the alert myself.
I hope he will be okay but good news, tbh fwiw imo.
At the same time, Mitch Johnson just seems like a yes man who doesn't know what he's doing so this will be interesting.
As long as it's not Brett Brown.
Will be interesting to see what impact this has, if any. Would be fascinating to see if they somehow play with even less discipline.
Same
For all the I give him, it's a cazy job and schedule at 76yo.
I kinda like this old chunk of coal tbh
my bad I'm in Europe and we already set the clock back one hour for wintertime. I always get that confused, cause y'all do it later.
I hope the old man is alright tbh and not something more serious. But will be nice to see someone else on the bench tonight tbh.
I think the last time this happened, he went outside the box.
Spurs Injuries: Tre Jones, ankle (OUT), Devin Vassell, foot (OUT), Pop (Under the weather)
TWolves Injuries: NONE
maybe Mitch Johnson is smart enough to play Mamu and not run a Castle/Wesley/Sochan/Zollins line up
