Polls missed again. Many Republicans/ Trump supporters don't want to talk to anyone about their politics. They don't want their name put on some liberal hitlist.

The holy grail of pollsters actually had Iowa going to Harris And remember the suppression Wisconsin poll that claimed that Biden would take that state by 17 points? They were a A rated pollster, btw I didn't even care about the polls when Biden was still in and they had Trump blowing him out. They have their agenda. They skew them in whatever direction they're told to, imo. Harris was rated the worst VP in the history of the country with an approval rating in high 30's. She's always been super cringe and unlikable. Then suddenly she gets installed as nominee and is up 5 nationally on Trump . Most of us knew that was all smoke and mirror BS and she was never actually up that margin to begin with.

What about old media? They have an approval rating comparable to congress and everyone seems to see through their BS. I'm wondering if MSNBC fires everyone now and shifts right and Fox shifts some to the left. Or maybe they all go under.

    Betteridge's rule.

Legacy media can expect to get walloped by Trump, but they'll be fine -- Trump is great for business.

Internal polling told the D's everything they needed to know. That's why 3 consecutive months of assassination attempts were made as they hunted President Trump.

    They knew.

The "late surge" by Harris was a last ditch effort to tamp down the vote, but, he'd FINALLY freed his people to vote by mail, by early voting, et al. The votes had already been cast. He finally learned his in' lesson and applied it. They knew what was comin', that's why they tried to blow his head off repeatedly.

I think we will see less of them. They will still be used, but mainly internally.

They missed all over the country, VA, NY, IL, swing states, pretty much everywhere

And BTW, 538 has their head stuck up their rear ends. They booted Rassmussen who was on the money from day 1 of this cycle. That screwed up their aggregate.

It doesn't matter how much the polls screwed up, it sells newspapers and gives the 24/7 news media something to talk about for months on end during our (insanely long, tbh) election season.

The media needs polls to sell a horse race, so they aren't going anywhere.

Poll are a scam by essence.

They litterally were created for that purpose, if people knew how they're made or didn't forget all the time, they'd never take them into consideration.

FYI every poll companies have a "secret formula" like Coke or Pepsi

The problem is that the ones that are supposed to expose this scam NEED said scam on a daily basis

Poll had utility in the time of land lines when you had easy truly random sampling. Now they are basically impossible to do, you are forced to fudge the numbers to fit the models one way or the other, and as soon you are adjusting results to fit the model as opposed other way around, you failed. So, yes polls are useless now, and have been so for some time now. They do generate click still though, so they are still used for that.

This. As I mentioned somewhere else, people would rather get aids than answer a survey these days.

I followed the most accurate pollsters of 2020 who were also the most accurate pollsters of 2024 as seen in my post directly above your idiotic comment.

Why do you continue to embarrass yourself?
