Barnes has been so bad ever since that wcpotw award.
I’d give him a couple more games to straighten it out but after that he might go to the bench for Champ.

Just that I think he might be leaning on HB and CP3 too much.
I think he doesn't want to bench Barnes because of his size.
Jeremy is always the point of attack defender, leaving us with Barnes on opposition PF. While he's not a great defender, he's bigger and stronger than Champagnie who would have no chance in those matchups.
Mitch made a lot of good rotation moves so far, more than Pop did over the past 5 or so years.
Collins won't ever play again.
Branham and Wesley are third stringers.
He's also experimenting with Jeremy as backup big when opponents also go small.
The next thing I'd like to see is DNP-ing Tre. Feels kind of bad because he's a solid role player and tries his best, but there's just no need for him whatsoever if we already have CP3 or Castle on the floor.
Tre when he just sits in the corner is as useless as Wesley.
We saw at the end of last game the main reason why HB is so much used, our roster has below average BBIQ
Same for Cp3 who's going to suck at some point bc he desn't have the legs anymore but the lack of choice make him unavoidable
I wonder if Barnes waiving his trade kicker came with some sort of agreement to start and keep his ironman streak going. I haven't heard anything of the sort, but just throwing a hypothesis out there
Perhaps. But I hope it wasn't some sort of season-long binding promise. He has been playing well at times but not well enough to warrant a permanent spot in the starting lineup.

I'm pretty disappointed that Tre and Barnes are getting minute but it feels like Julian and Stef are competing for leftover minutes.
It's easy to miss the structure Barnes provides to the units he plays in. He's slumping right now, but has been in the league long enough to play through it. Longer term, he's going to be just fine even if the end product isn't there right now. He knows where to be and how to move the ball around. It's like complaining if Paul has some off games. What they're doing is important.
Plus he's just a straight-up asset beyond that. Maintain his value by showing his value.
Honestly Barnes trade is killing us.
