Houston is not trading Amen. Spurs are not trading Sochan++ for potentially getting better version of Sochan. The only big trade Spurs need is for primary scorer, who can create his own shots and plays guard position
Both can't shoot to save their lives but Amen's shooting form look less broken.
He was pretty much injured in his rookie year but this year he has taken the leap and show his potential.
Amen definitely has the better stats in pts, rebs, asts, stls, blks than Sochan and he has the potential to be the best perimeter defender during Wemby's era.
Wemby will be the best interior defender.
Amen will be the best perimeter defender.
Flagg will be a hybrid and a mix of best of both world.
Will probably need to throw in 1 or 2 first round pick with Sochan for Houston to consider.
I will say yes.

Not a dilemma.
Spurs would trade Sochan for Amen in a second, but the thing is neither is really a great fit on a potential Wemby-led championship contender.
I doubt Houston would do it.
Houston wouldn’t even do Tari Eason
Yes no questions asked. They would trade anybody on their roster not named Wemby for Amen, including Castle. Sochan vs Tari is a much harder dilemma where both teams probably say no.
How is that a legit dilemma.
Is this a joke? I’d pack Jeremy’s bags.
These topics are the best reminder that a lot of people in here don't follow what's going on around the league.
Amen is the only Rocket that's off limits in any trade talks.
Is this a serious question? Because the answer is obviously yes. But Houston would hang up the phone laughing their asses off at this trade proposal
Wasn’t Amen Thompson supposed to be our consolation prize if we didn’t win the Wemby sweepstakes? I remember reading Brian Wright was very high on him.
OP did say that it would be Sochan + picks for Amen, not straight up, so they clearly recognize the imbalance between the two players.
So… Sochan + 2 FRP for Amen? It’s an interesting question, but I think both teams probably say no. For the Spurs, Amen just isn’t the kind of player we need to burn two FRPs to acquire. For the Rockets, he’s going to be the core building piece for them, so they also say no.
Yeah timvp (RIP) was reporting we were very high on him. I’d seen other Spurs reporters say that he was third on their board after Miller.
That's not a dilemma, even with a few picks added for HOU
Both can't shoot but Amen is better in every other areas, by a large margin
I’m just hoping for Flagg. He would fit in extremely well with Wemby. He’s like a Sochan with IQ, athleticism, and offense (ok so nothing like Sochan). But he’s not afraid of contact and to play dirty. Let Wemby play like a guard and put Flagg down in the middle and run the offense through him. Unstoppable
Houston wouldn't even pick up the phone what a stupid post
If you swap Amen for a tuna sammich, then yes Houston might consider
I say no, let's send Sochan to OKC for SGA instead
I'd trade Sochan and 4 FRP complete with best of swaps on those picks for Amen. That guy screams allstar. And Houston would still hang up the phone in tears from laughing so hard.
Don’t think we’ll be able to tank enough to get him. He’ll be gone by top 3.
No way would the rockets even consider this. Sochan castle Vassell plus a couple of picks and Houston still wont.
I don't even think they would have included Amen in a Giannis trade when things were looking really dark for Milwaukee early in the season. He's the one guy in the league I could see wrestling a DPOY away from Wemby in the next 5-6 years without Victor having to miss a bunch of games. On his current trajectory he screams allstar but if they ever teach him a jumpshot you'd be talking best player on a le team level of star.
