Trump resents having paid money to accommodate the disabled, so much the worse for disabled people going forward

Disability rights advocates warn that Trump’s anti-diversity executive orders are just a prelude to even more draconian attacks. For example, Trump’s avowed goal to eliminate the Department of Education could jeopardizespecial-education programs for roughly 7.5 million students—15 percent of the US student population. Trump’s plan to cut billions in grants issued by the National Ins utes of Health threatens long-term research and development focused on life-saving—and life-improving—treatments for millions of Americans. And, of course, any cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and particularly Medicaid—and let’s face it, the GOP wants to eliminate or privatize these programs altogether—will disproportionately affect millions of disabled people who rely on the programs to survive.
“It would be catastrophic,” Rembis said of potential cuts to Medicaid. “For many people, Medicaid is literally their lifeline. It’s what sustains them. People who depend on these services to live wouldn’t have the medical equipment, the prescriptions, the healthcare, or the daily supports they need if these programs were limited, let alone cut. Thousands of people would die.”

Okay, so they won't stand down, they'll just come to the fore. 6-of-1, half dozen of the other.
Said stopper will be jammed in said bottle.

Otherwise you'd have to have the House to get 'er started. And you ain't got that for at least another 2 years.
And let me tell you something, doc...that old man knows that like the back of his hand.

The D's are so pissed on those Sunday Morning Talk Shows they don't know whether to , or, go blind.

assistance to the blind and deaf gutted

this will lead to a multi-tiered system where some states provide support and some don't

Multiple sources said several departmental offices have now been gutted again, including the offices of Communications and Outreach, Elementary and Secondary Education and other divisions. The agency enforces the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the law creating a free and appropriate education for children with disabilities, and funds special education services to the tune of around $15 billion.

The education department leader called the layoffs to this division "ridiculous," contending that families of special needs students will be harmed.

"There is a risk that the money to educate their children will not be given to the state, and that their access to support and advocacy for their children with special needs will no longer continue because there is no staff available to administer IDEA," the department leader noted.

The education department is the smallest cabinet-level agency in the U.S. government.

At the start of the Trump administration, the department had just over 4,000 employees. After buyouts, early retirements, voluntary separations and a Reduction in Force, the agency was shrunk nearly in half earlier this year.
"[If] there's no staff, who the heck is going to administer this program? That's the absurdity of this," the source, who asked not to be identified for fear of retribution, added.
The department leader stressed that several employees within the offices of Special Education Programs and the Rehabilitative Services Administration -- the two divisions that make up the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) -- were cut over the weekend.
