Stop The Presses!!!! A Laker had a good game!!!!
Smush Parker had 20 points... 7 steals...Against the Bucks...I seem to remember...A certain Forum Administrator & Her faithful followers making fun of this guy preseason....You were wrong!

And as long as the NBA has Andrew Bogut...The Vlade flops are in good hands...Was that Sasha “all 120lbs of him” that knocked the 7 footer down twice? Battling Aussie went for a Missouri boat ride....

Smush Parker is playing great. Props to him for making the best of his opportunity. He's an excellent defender with long reach and he can flat-out sky.
I still think he sucks.
Players can put up numbers on a bad team and it doesn't make them good players.
Someone has to put up stats.
I rember there is a forum called nba forum that people posted non spur related topics in there to
Well he is leading the league in steals correct?
And he does not fall down when the air conditioner turns on like Argentina players....![]()
Ducks shut the heck up! You have your own dedicated Forum for you copy & paste unintelligent non sense that nobody reads...![]()
No.
He's 10th in the league in steals.
I think he's a scrub - a borderline NBA player. And I don't think he's a long term solution at point guard if the Lakers want to win. He puts up some decent stats on that team though. And like I said before, I hope he proves me wrong and lasts in the league for a long time. By all accounts he's a good guy and a hardworker.
The game before Bucks against Charlotte :
6 pt (2-6) , 0 ast and 4 turnover.
Smush is an average player.
Did anyone see the interview he did on ESPN yesterday? He was so monotone and had very boring short answers. Really needs to learn how to talk to the media.
there was a thread about smush in the nba forum
several smush threads in nba forum![]()

I haven't paid any attention to Smuch lately, but I caught him in a couple of early Nov games, and he looked damn good. In comparision, I think Beno as a Laker would have hard time matching Smush's results.
Whatever, Lakers are marginalized for a couple years.
Bad players put up great numbers on bad teams.
Ala Ron Mercer on the Bulls a few years ago.
Go tell someone who cares about Smush Parker.
Kori face it, you are worried!...The Lakers are getting younger, faster stronger ...The *purs...Well there best hope is to pick up another Lakers cast off...Maybe Fisher will be available next season...
BTW- Did Yall see Shaquille in street clothes at the Lakers game checking out the next hall of famer? "Mr. Bynum"....Sweeeeeet....![]()

You always make me laugh.
I aim to please....
BTW- I was not joking about the refs talking about how brutal the San Antonio fans are...Was it Danny Crawford who just celebrated 20 years & told the story how he is heckled & buys folks beer & hot dogs to shut them up....
Who the cares about Smush and the Lakers
he may not be that good, but he has one cool first name
Smush is playing good. Its hard to tell whether he will turn into an established good NBA player. Its looks good so far though. Its better than having some hyped up player coming into the league and then becomes a bust.
I liked Smush's play when he was briefly with the Pistons. He'd probably be doing even more this year if he could somehow pry the ball out of that shot jacker Kobe's hands.

Smush reminds me of John Starks. Not necessarily his style but by the way he's worked hard to get to where he is. They are about the same height. Starks was more of a small, scoring 2, while Smush a scoring 1. Nobody thought he could achieve but he kept after it. Both have gotten an opportunity from great coaches.
Very much like Starks, I see Smush as a guy who takes some talent and mixes it with opportunity, with effort and resolve to get where he is. Even the Spurs looked at Starks in their training camp but the development and maturity wasn't there yet. Smush is a work in progress. His time in Europe probably helped him. Smush is in a good place and he's developed into a nice player.
I have nothing against Smush (he has a cool name), other than the fact that he's a Laker. However Bragging about inflated numbers, and him taking 17 games to get there is another thing. I will say that he has been better than expected for them.
Though, I've only seen him a couple of times, I think Smush is and can be a good, steady player in this league. It's a shame he's unable to truly run the offense because he's playing next to a serial ballhog (Kobe).
Fact is, right now Smush is making lots of us look dumb. Props.
That he is a Laker only makes it worse.
On the other hand, if he was the real real real deal (i.e., Chris Paul), you would expect the Lakers to be a lot better than they are, and Kobe wouldn't be jacking up 30 shots a night.
Smush Parker is inconsistent. He'll have some good games but most of the time he sucks.
