Carter Bryant will not play in the Spurs' Summer League game today against GSW.
The team is opting to keep him out of back-to-backs this early in the summer.
Dylan Harper and Riley Minix remain out until Vegas.
Why do they even go to these other SL like California classic/Utah if they aren’t even going to play their rooks

Dude played 20 mins yesterday and they cant let him play 20 today? Sitting a guy who clearly needs all the time he can get on a basketball court just doesn’t make sense.
Resting Bryant is really lame and is not helping him. He played all of 20 minutes against the Heat.

Small rant, what’s frustrating is it would be one thing if the spurs were a playoff team but we’re not… this approach on playing the long game, allowing guys to rest when they need to play, it reminds me of castle saying they only had like 8 practices for the entire season, fck that were not a good team, this soft coaching needs to stop.
Pop resting of players has really ruined the brand of this league. Too many stars sit out games when fans of other teams go to see them. Now we are doing it with summer league?? I really hope this bull doesn’t catch on. What a joke!!!!

The other guys who played 20+ yesterday are also playing today, just not Carter. Just a soft-ass organization at this point.
