I generally think Sam Quinn isn't actually all that great... but I do enjoy a good theoretically valuation of assets. This CBS Sports ranking of all the traded FRPs is a good read.

The Spurs have 4 swaps (ATL, BOS, DAL, MIN) which when viewed individually are only "meh" assets, but when you view them holistically and consider random variance, there is a fairly decent chance that one of them delivers an unexpected lottery pick to us.
The SAC swap in 2031 rightfully ranks on the higher end of the list (#14).
The Rockets, Blazers, and Nets stand out as teams with the finest collection of high quality assets. OKC still has a lot of surplus assets, but the quality of them is starting to fade slightly. Even so, they still have more than a team of their caliber deserves.
This has me thinking that if Vassell starts off the season hot, it might be in our best interest to trade him and replenish the war chest... though at the same time if he starts off hot he's likely to be quite useful on our team.
Unless he takes an unexpected leap, I very much doubt Vassell returns anything of substance, at this point I'd be happy if he gets you expirings plus a meh first or a couple cheaper rotational players that are good fits (3&D forwards / wings).
You can probably replace Vassell's contributions' fairly easily and for a lot less, freeing up his salary slot along with Keldon & Sochan's (no extension so far) would pretty much make up for the entire Fox max extension.

Think that Dallas swap is way more than "meh". They will probably have to tear it down to build it back up around Cooper and that could be a tear down year.
I'm not sure Spurs currently need a chest of picks to do some future trades. Spurs have a lot of talent on their roster and, if everything went well, they might not even need a big trade to be a contender in a couple of seasons. There are quite a lot of questions marks about Spurs roster but its upside is top notch.
What's weird with Spurs is, that they have a pick each year in the next 6 drafts and, if they start winning a lot of games, only 1 of these 6 picks will be their own (in 2029). Spurs could be a contender without the drawback of having a pick between #25 and #30 in the draft.
^ In addition, the most valuable currency in superstar or star trades is generally having a prospect with star potential to be the centerpiece of the package and retool/build for the other team.
All these projected "high value" picks are just lottery tickets that are unlikely to become that (even in situations as dire as the Suns, for example, with no incentive to lose, they're not just going to strip their team down).
The Spurs can skip the middleman because they not only have it, they have the most valuable archetype of it, which is projected offensive "engine" with size.
Spurs are in great situation. Given the point guard depth, I expect them to draft mostly SF prospects going forward until one sticks. They have Sochan now and Bryant on deck, but makes sense to keep investing in that position until a sure thing hits. Can always get hired guns and backup Cs in FA.
