The CARES Act was probably the greatest fraud in the history of the world. I can say that confidently without any hyperbole.
The CARES Act was the best official act of US government in my lifetime, bar none
Stimmy, guaranteed UI, nonrecourse business loans and first-in-line mRNA vaccines saved our collective asses in 2020. Sending money directly to people with children stuck at home was a GREAT idea -- we probably shouldn't have stopped.
Trump and the US Congress saved the country from financial ruin and prepared the brisk economic recovery from 2021-24. The US recovery from COVID was the best in the world.
If Trump hadn't been such an asshole about how COVID ed his up and instead pretended to care a little bit about the rest of us he probably would've won in 2020.
The widely predicted fraud, er, PPP loans -- were worth the cure imo. People cheated.

Trump should have taken credit for saving the country by signing the CARES Act and expediting the COVID jab, but he never said it that way afaik

Trump’s casinos and real estate business were clearly money laundering operations.

Operation Warpspeed was a minuscule portion of the CARES act. The rest was just historic deficit spending that future generations will pay for and that contributes to the continued erosion of America's credit and credibility. Gold is now the world's real reserve currency and financial mismanagement is largely to blame for that.
