What are some of the best things that happened to you or that you experienced this past year? Was it meeting someone special, experiencing something that enriched your life, reaching a milestone?
For me:
• Making the decision to embrace being single, including purchasing Spurs tickets and attending the games solo
• Joining the Spurstalk forum and meeting some great people
• Being at the NBA Finals, experiencing a Game 7 and watching the Spurs win the championship
• Donating what money and food I could to victims of disasters all over the world
• Getting a great job and achieving some monumental career goals, and now setting new ones
• Wearing both the 2003 and 2005 championship rings, if only for a few minutes
• Coming to terms with my dad's illness and aging and realizing that it's a marathon and not a sprint
• Conquering my own health setbacks without prescription drugs

2. Visiting SA for the first time and meeting a lot of very nice (and some crazy - but in a good way) people.
3. Visiting SA for a second time and seeing my first playoff games live and in person.
4. Built a garden shed from scratch (didn't have time for a holiday so that was it).
1. Moved to San Antonio from Corpus
2. Saw my girlfriend graduate from college and get her first teaching gig
That's about it. This year was pretty uneventful.
1.My company have the biggest year, financially, profits wise, in its history, and lots of friends and family crediting me with it. (I didnt think so, but it was awesome to hear it)
Thats about it.
Me and the Fiance broke up, then got back together, then broke up again.
So, i guess its been a mediocre year.
Spurs won again, so that made it fantastic.
Still alive, wich means thats great too!![]()

1) Finished my junior year ranked 2nd in the class
2) Finally asking the girl out.
3) Spurs winning the championship
What about your experience volunteering at the Red Cross shelters?
2005 was a bad year for me... Ok now ALL bad but my grandfather died this year and it's still hard to believe. I guess some of the good things are:
Getting to spend the entire month of June with my grandfather while he was in the hospital. I was there every day and held his hand every day. He did live long enough to watch the Spurs win the championship. That made him happy.
Getting to spend time with my cousin Valerie while she was here in June. She lives in California so we don't get to see her too often. The week she was here was the best (although it was mostly spent in the hospital). Then she bought me a lovely Coach purse! Aww! lol
The entire Spurs season of 2005. I am happy that we had Season tickets for the '04 and '05 seasons. Then being at game 7 was amazing! Couldn't ask for anything more.
Seeing my cousin Krista off to College. She is now attending the Texas Culinary Academy and I am very proud of her. She's going to be an awesome Chef!
That was about it...2005 pretty much sucked (I told you). Hopefully '06 will get a little better.
-Got married.
Otherwise I didn't really accomplish a whole lot, but that's a pretty big thing.
Good call Melissa. That has to be near the top.
Such a good thing to take stock every once in a while -- keeps things in the right perspective. For me, in something resembling chronological order, a few:
1. Passed the Texas Board of Legal Specialization Exam (pass rate for my exam was less than 25%)
2. Saw my first argument in the U.S. Supreme Court
3. Got to see a game at Assembly Hall in Indiana with my best friend
4. Best friend got married
5. Sweet trip to Seattle to see the Spurs in the playoffs (even though the Spurs lost) and got to go to Safeco Field for the first time
6. Living to see the conclusion of the Star Wars saga
7. Being in the building for Game 7
8. Standing on a river bank about 2 feet from every Spur and having Pop respond to my "Thank you, Pop" shout
9. My dear cousin got married and asked me to be a part of her big day
10. Got my new pup, Barkley, who is a bright light in my life
11. Seeing the genuine care of so many people in the face of horrendous tragedies
12. Seeing a great friend succeed in her effort to graduate from college
13. Having the blessings of wonderful family and good friends -- even friends of the anonymous sort
So, how did it go????
1. Spurs won the NBA Finals
2. Aruba
3. Parties
2005 was a very stressful year. I'm going to put it the bad and the good

Blessings From 2005:
1. Another great year with LJ. I am blessed with a great husband. I don't care if you guys are sick of hearing it or think it's disgusting or sappy, but I feel like I have the best husband of all time. We never argue. We laugh a lot. And we sincerely enjoy each other's company very much. Thank God.
2. Getting my health (almost) back in order. I have been sick for almost a year and a half (some people here know that, some don't). But over the last six months, they finally figured out what was wrong with me and I'm starting to get healthy. Hopefully I will be better within the next 2 months so that LJ and I can try to have a baby. Because my poor health has put that on hold for a long time.
3. Spurs Championship experience. In 2003, I experienced the Spurs Championship as a fan and it was tremendous. In 2005, I experienced it as a reporter and it was an experience I'll never forget.
Hopes For 2006:
1. Having A Baby - I really want to have a baby (or two). So in 2006, I hope to get pregnant. And if that's not God's will, then I hope we can start the adoption process.
2. Friends Getting Married - I really want Chris and Christy (User and Spurswoman), as well as Manny and Jess to get married this year. It's not my business, or my place to say but oh well, I just said it.
3. The Troops To Come Home - Enough Said.
well Kori i hope that soon enough you will be a mommy
I think it is sweet. I look forward to the day when I am equally blessed.![]()
I'll second that!![]()
I call baby sitting privileges!
Negotations are underway but Jess has a ball busting agent and we can't agree on a number.
